Today I started getting e-mail about a new security patch from Microsoft. The mail looks like its from Microsoft, but it isn't. This is most likely a virus of some kind.

Nice of you to post this. This is true. Microsoft will never send a patch through email.

Yeah I'v had these b4, the first thing that gives it away thats it not M$ is that the patch covers all OS which M$ havnt the brain pwoer to do.

But yeah it is a virus. hotmail told me so.

You know, I hope that the kid who built that thing gets sued for the damages it caused...

no it isnt blaster,
blaster virus does travel via email, it travels by the holes in M$ computers, and floods the M$ update site, nothing more, so as for damages none i can think of.
but time is money.
