While playing on NWRO, the map changed to New Mega Tomb. While loading the map, I got a New Mega Tomb Missmatch. Then I tried to connect again. The game crashed and I got this message.

I tried again, with the same results...

Any guesses as to why this happened? I suppose that i will reinstall New Mega Tomb. Any thoughts?

Hey...

Actually, I am not running NewMegaTomb...I am running the original version of Megatomb that Schwantz used to run on his server, before the modified version came out...don't know why it would cause a conflict as they are named differently...anyone else having this prob?

not having this problem here.. and I have both maps. had to download from NWRO the original MegaTomb the other day (and I had NewMegaTomb from long ago). N6NU was in the game, and did report that he had a problem when the original MegaTomb map came up on NWRO. I don't remember the details, perhaps you do, N6?

No answers here. I can say that this is a good example of a video card issue. If it were the game's problem, the game would have stayed open the error would have mentioned the mismatch but the game would not crash. What is the video card exactly? i have more options too but this is the first right way to go.

I have had a similar error. I don't remember what I was doing when it happened. I thought I was having some problem with my video onbaord memory transferring information to the cpu because it is PCI not AGP.

I have the Nvidia Gforce 4 64mb PCI

I don't think I ever got that error when I was running an AGP card.

I was thinking I may be able to modify the IRQs or I/O settings for better performance.

Is that card a PCI card? If it is, then it would support my theory.
