Herm:

I have a proposal for you. I have a working ASUS CUV4X-E PIII Motherboard complete with 512MB PC133 RAM and a PIII-866 with Heatsink and fan. The board has onboard sound as well. I am willing to donate this to Herm Central for nothing. I will even pay the shipping as well. If any customs duties apply, Herm would have to pay that but I would send it down as a gift with a value of $25 or so.The following conditions would apply:

1) Upon receipt of the hardware, you will put it to use as a "SINGLE" server. Meaning that it will house one UT server, not House of Herm 2, 3, 4, and CG12...

2) You can call it whatever you wish but it will have the old CG maps on it..including lots of f*&$cking Deck Maps. If you want to modify a map like Bo does, please leave the old one on the server as well.

3) You would run this server barring any problems like Mrs. Hermskii beating you over the head with a frying pan for a period of not less than 6 months.. After that you can do with it as you please. The stuff is yours.

I can throw in a NIC card as well.

If you're interested let me know.. There is no point in me putting a server up as no one plays on them when i do. I wish to donate this gear so we all can have a stable server and Herm is the guy to run it if he's willing..

Batteries not included.

Damn! You're generous, boss. If I offer to host a weekly movie, will you send me down your SONY Wega XBR TV?

I just saw this 30 minutes ago for the first time. That is why I didn't respond yesterday. All I can say is "Holy Sh*T". Schwantz. I have to go over and fix a buddies PC right this instant but I will reply when I get back. That should be in 30 minutes!

Once again Schwantz, you have gone over the edge when it comes to sticking your neck out for the Redeemer Arena Gang. I can't accept the terms of your deal because you just get screwed from end to end on it. I will however be very happy to discuss a fair market value for the hardware and will be pleased to purchase it from you at a later time.

You have always been my inspiration since the day I first landed on SRA the first time. I am humbled by you and due to the extreme respect I have for you and what you started here I'm motivated to do your bidding. So, I will put the maps back on CG and will arrange it so that HOH is what CG is right now. Understand that this will take a lot of time to get right and I'm going out of town again this weekend so this won't happen until next week some time.

I'm positive that your offer is the best one ever made to me and I am very appreciative for that. I'll get in touch with you privately next week some time so try to come up with a real price if you think you might still want to unload that Motherboard, Ram, and PIII. I have Nic cards already. I don't know about the rest of you but I'm utterly amazed by this incredible offer and it just goes to show you what our Boss is made of and how much we actually owe him. Thanks for everything Schwantz!

Herm ol' buddy. I didn't pay a dime for the items. I removed them from a machine one of my clients (from my old business) was throwing a way. So fair market value is zero, nada, zilch. The shipping will be minimal. I have a large pile of used crap here.. This is the better part of the pile.. Shipping will be minimal since I'll use surface..

I am not doing this to be a saint or philanthropist. I just want 6 months of stable serving, maps i like, people i like. Accept the damn offer dammit!!!

This is an amazing tale of generosity and group-cohesiveness. It's like when the two bosses of different families in the Cosa Nostra got together.

I am going to unsticky it so that those who don't look up will see it float by them in the thread list.

Well done! :D

PS: Schwantz, I'm serious about your Sony XBR.

So Schwantzie,
In that large pile of crap are there any hard drives, or more exactly hard drives full o'porn. Would be a shame to let perfectly good porn go to waste.

 Skank

P.S.
I could never be surprised by Schwantzies generosity, or any of the other Admins for that matter. Above the hardware is the dedication of time. As you may have noticed this past year I’ve been MIA off and on for months on end. I was truly saddened when I went to log on to Schwantzie land to find it closed for business. It was akin to returning from school to find your family had moved.

Hey Schwantz, I bet if you let each member pick one map that they liked and put it on your server (along with all your deck maps); you'd find attendance way up. I think that part of Herm's and Bo's success is due in large part to the new maps they're always trying out. You could try cornering the market for the best maps of all time. I expect that if you put up a nice rotation of the best maps of all time, the favourites of the membership, you'd get a lot of repeat business at your server. :)

There are so many maps that I love....I really like the ones I win on...lol...be hard pressed to choose a fav. Would make a nice tourney server.

I don't know about anyone else, but I am up for a Tourney! I have been in training...ready to mop the floor with some regs.
