Normally I log what I've changed on the server and which files go with what but I seem to have slacked off a while back and now I don't know what is what anymore. Why does this matter? It means I have to re-do CG and HOH. This isn't too bad since one is usually just a copy of the other with a few mild changes but I was looking at the webserver tonight and I still have all of the old maps and CSHP and junk like that on it. I have to erase it all and put it back up in a way that I know I'm using the space efficiently. I go on vacation on Aug 18th. I'll take down the servers and do it that week. Just FYI I may put CG on a better PC (PII-333) then too and I will be bringing HOH up to an XP2700 333.

If you see something on your redirect that doesn't also exist in your game directory, it is safe to delete...

I'm just looking for a good excuse to erase it all and start over. This has usually proved to be good in the past. I need to document the whole thing from end to end anyway so I can show other people how to do it later when I stop doing all of this madness! hehehe. That shouldn't be anytime soon by the way.

Herm, you said you were writing a server building guide...I was wondering if you are going to finish it soon? If not, can you email me what you have...I am a programmer and I think I could probably figure what isn't included...it will at least be a start. Am trying to start a server when I build my new pc...

I had a question about ips in ut also, but maybe you cover it. My ip isn't static...was wondering what issues I might have.

I still have a little ways to go to say the least. I'll be happy to send it to you. Email me so I can reply with it and the IP thing isn't a problem unless your changes all the time. CG has been on a non static IP for over a year until a cable line got cut for a few days . Then it changed.
