FYI, You can now select the impact hammer on Bo's server. I love a new toy. Too bad it makes the most annoying sound ever heard... but it is fun! :D

Something tells me we are in for some really rude screen shots of players being drilled in the *** while guiding. :doubt:

Hey folks...

While tweaking some Arena Match settings I must have checked the "keep default weapon" box, hence the impact hammer...lol. I have fixed that little anomaly, and added something else to the map starts that I thought was kind of cool. Check it out...

By the way, also reduced the number of players allowed, and disallowed spectating. The max players is going to stay at 8 as I am considering another full-time server (bandwidth, ya know), but if folks want the spectating back, I certainly can do that. Personally, I like having spectator slots, though I know a few of you folks don't like people to see your "secret" strategies...lol. Damn, the server has been smokin' since CG's spiraled out...around 240 games played between midnight yesterday and now...and a whole bunch of new players, too...cool. Makes it hard to make any changes though as the server has people in it almost all the time. Guess I'll have to do all the admin stuff between 5 and 6 a.m. when the server slows down a bit..hehe...

Keep up the good work Bo. The server rocks. Hey by the way was there a thread that had a list of maps you are using. I think I may need to go to Nali and Dload them just so I don't have to waste 15 seconds waiting for a dload.

Some of those 1-on-1 maps were part of two separate map packs. Look for dm-1 on 1-pack.zip and dm-1 on 1-orm-mappack.zip. Not all of these came from Nali City. If there are any that are proving to be impossible to find online, I may put them up temporarily on my webserver for download...I say temporarily because I am nearing my 500 MB space limit...there are 149 maps for NWRO there, and another 90 or so for my BrainSplatter Sniper Server side project (only running occasionally for now...tweaking, tweaking, tweaking). However, if there is a large demand for map packs, my only solution is to chop the number of maps I am running by at least half to make room for map zips on NWRO.com...I will entertain this notion if enough people want it. I rarely play there myself, so less variety won't bother me much 8)

On a side note, I was running a small add-on to the game that displayed the NWRO logo at map starts, but it was screwing things up...I'll see if I can figure out what the problem was...I could see it in my game, but others could not. Too bad...was kind of cool to have my logo pop up every time the map changed...we'll see...

Bo

Hey Bo, for some reason I can't get the map Zybro to load... I noticed that there is a small file attached. Could that be the problem?

Hey Torp...

Don't know what the problem might be. There is an extremely small texture file (less than 4k) that is associated with the map...it is on the redirect server. There were 5 or 6 of us playing that map, so, I don't know what to tell ya, bro...does anyone else have a prob with this map?

Bo

I seem to have problems when small files associated with maps come from the redirect site. Does the file have to be compressed since it's so small? Just a thought. My speculation is that the problem is platform related (easy now PC heads or I'll sic Maximus on ya).

Maybe I will set "allow downloads" to "True" and limit it to 100k...may take care of your problem, Torp. If there is a slack period tonight, I will try it then...

Oh well, I guess it must be me then.

Sci, out of the kindness of her heart, sent me the map so I won't have to worry about that particular download.

Thanx Bo, Max and Sci for your help!
