 Post subject: GEneral protection fault

all the time my unreal cuts out mid match - first it freezes and my character cant move i cant get esc to respond shoot talk or anything
then after frantic clickin of the mouse the game clsoes its self ad i get the message general protection fault and a load of crap about 3d rendering any hints how to overcome it?
