Well... It was announced this morning that the 2010 Winter Olympics will be in Vancouver - Whistler. This is quite exciting to old Schwantz as I was responsible for telecommunications at Expo 86 and know how much fun an event like this is. Hopefully we'll break even on costs and the social impact will be positive. Now we need to lobby to get UT Redeemer Arena as a winter olympic event and to allow Nali War Cows into the games. Light the Torch! Moooo Schwantz |

Competing in the arena for the winter olympics is one thing but I'm not sure it would be feasible to allow Nali Cows into the other events. For one Nali Cows would have an unfair advantage in Speedskating, ski Jumping, the Luge & Bobsledding due to the methane gas release that would increase their overall speed. Not too mention the havoc flying cow chips would cause to spectators in ski jumping as well. Ice Hockey would be a NO NO as well for the same reason. Imagine the confusion from more then one "puck" on the ice. Sorry Schwantz. I think most would agree with me on this one. :D |

I'm dreading the idea that Toronto the broke and infrastructureless might actually win the games some year. :doubt: Maybe SARS will have a "positive" impact after all.  *Edit*: So what I meant to say is, congratulations on getting the 2010 games, Schwantz! :) (Better you than us!)   |

Yup... the radio systems, telephone systems, point-of-sale, fire and security alarms, site lighting. It was probably the best job one could have. I was there for the construction, operation and demolition. Now, for the 2010 Olympics, since you're going to be only a couple of hours away, you and the Mrs. and sleep in the basement for $500 per day to go to the various Olympic Venues. Satellite television will be $50 extra. Entreprener Moo Schwantz  |
