I know what you mean, dude. When I got the other computer running, i had to hit the delete key as soon as I turned it on, or I missed the Bios... Perhaps it should be running at 400 mhz... I'm sorry that I cannot remember. Does anyone know the top frequency the FSB of an AMD Barton chip can run???

Tap on that key from the moment the numlock light turns on and off. Tap, Tap, Tap, Tap, Tap. You'll get in the BIOS like that!

It is 333 (166)

Set the biosto 166Mhz and the result will be 333. Make sure your Mobo can handle it. otherwise you are stuck with 133 -> 266Mhz

Ok, probably the final transmission here.

I got into the BIOS and under the advanced settings set something (can't remember what it was, but I did follow the above directions) to 166.

My pc, through XP control panel, now recognizes my chip as being 2700+!

Now, it's gotta last me about 5 years to make it worthwhile!
