Checkin in folks...how is everyone? Still kickin here, installed me a cider port of UT on the Mac and I was back in business. In other news...bought the farm, literally. The wife and I bought a 5 acre plot with an interesting mid-century modern style house and a barn, and the rest is history. Been raising chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys and goats over the past few years, mostly for us to eat but I've sold and bartered here and there too. Some day I'll get a donkey, so when people come over I can say "Check out my magnficient ass!". Going to start brewing some booze this fall too. I have 2 kids now; oldest is 4 and started pre-k this year, and his sister just turned 1. Still playing music...only one of my 2 bands plays gigs, and we've been on hiatus for the arrival of( and recovery from) the singer's son. I've been a work-at-home IT guy for the past 3 years now, which has definitely spoiled me. Still mostly playing Team Fortress 2, but occasionally I come back to UT/UT2004. I hadn't played UT in a while because the install I had was flakey; even this new one is unstable if certain mods are in use (Pure, ACE, probably some more). I've been working with a team of guys on a video game. We are developing a RPG involving the Roswell UFO crash, Majestic-12, Project Serpo, etc...jam packed with conspiracies. I wish I wasn't so tired. All of that is awesome. the farm part makes me plain jealous but I could never do it because I love animals too much to kill and eat them but not enough to let someone else kill them so i can eat them! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. I'm really just glad you dropped in and gave us a story about what you're up to. Gaming is good. Coding is good. kids are good. All is good then it sounds like. Stay at home IT rules! Tell us more if you get a chance. Animal pictures are welcome How much stuff to you have> You know...20 chickens, 2 cows, 3 big goats and 2 little ones. What? Paint me a picture. |
