I'm pretty sure it was around the end of October 2001 that I first started to play at Herm's CG and then later Schwantz's, once I found my way to the old forum and learned of its existence. So that's 7 years ago. Wow.

How about if everyone signs in here who used to play at CG or Schwantz in the old days, or even the not so old days, but does no longer. Just to give us a quick hello to let us know you're still out there somewhere?

:faroah:

Was about 02 for me, and I'm still around playing UT99 ,2k4 and mostly Ut3, I've hung up redeemer, it was fun for a few years but like they say, too much of a good thing ....Still have some good memories though ! we have had a blast on all the redeemer servers dead and alive, NWRO and Kids servers were my home's for a long time, as was the old missle madness and CG's, the things that I will remember were the people and the fun that was had!

Happy holidays all!!

Deadsun's UT 2004 missile madness was a thing of beauty too. If I ever get a new PC and full bandwidth again, I would be glad to set up an identical UT2k4 server on this box. Oh how that game rocked!

I have tried UT3. But I only play online at a custom invasion server that Chico of Excalibur Holland set up.
Frankly, I think I got ripped off. UT3 has some nice points, but it smacks terribly of still being BETA. A lot of the cool things you could do in UT99 and 2k4 just don't seem to be possible in this game.

Of course it doesn't help that I am on Internet "Lite", or that my 6 year old PC is barely above the min spec.'s for the game. I sure lag out sometimes. :blackeye:

If you look close enough at {Sir} Iron Chef's spinning avatar you can see that clearly that he is actually a Master Jedi. I'm serious!

GadZooks, I had no idea really!
My UT99 Server is called CROSSBONES MISSILE MADNESS!
I honestly thought that the name I chose was original.
How could I know though as his is for UT2k4 - I don't play it. :blackeye:
Oh well! :cyclopsani:

Actually, Deadsun had a UT 99 Missile Madness server before the UT2k4 server. Both were CTF servers featuring the strangelove, and some of the larger maps to fly around in.

The beauty of the UT2k4 vehicle CTF maps, the largeness of many of the maps in the rotation, and riding around on strangeloves made for a gaming experience 2nd to none, IMHO. :faroah:

Yep! His UT server was great and so was the UT2004 server. I can still remember having it listed in the active servers / autolink thread here. It was like CG, NWO, SRA, MM and a couple of others.

Man I loved that UT2004 server. I just couldn't run it any more because of my space heater of a server and my office being on the south side of the 2nd floor of the house...
If anyone would like to revive it, I would be happy to help just let me know. I tried to look for my backup of the files but I couldn't find them. It should be rebuildable though. In the meantime, there are some UT2004 SLV / CTF servers out there that I play at:

BTW I am now a member of the NFC (Nuclear Fallout Crew) Clan, so you should see me up on one of these from time to time.

Hey all,

Don't play much anymore or stop in here either. Good to see most everyone is still having fun.

CG does indeed conjure great memories.

Will never forget the first time I found the Curious George server in the list and decided to check it out. Spawned into the game, close to another player, we both shot and died and because I shot first, I got a frag point. Hmmm, this is an odd but curious game style.

So my first play on the server led me to believe it was a game of quick draw with nukes. Didn't learn about the guiding part until Hermskii joined in and played.

Thanks for the memories Hermskii!!
