Actually the server has been back up for a few weeks but as of last night my IP address changed and didn't realize it till today. You can either do a search in the deathmatch tab for:

Kidcapri Redeemer Funhouse

OR

IP address is 75.66.23.41:7777

Enjoy!

I have updated the Sticky with the new info and just want to verify the name. You have it listed as "Kidcapri Redeemer Funhouse" and I'm wondering if youi meant to list it as "Kidcapri's Redeemer Funhouse"?

Either way bud. If your looking for it in deathmatch all you need to know is the Kidcapri part basically but the true name of the server is:

Kidcapri's Redeemer Funhouse

Thanks for a spot on the sticky.

No thanks required here of all places. Kid, you are a Redeemer Arena Server Admin. That is all that has to be said. So long as we know you are running a server in the name of keeping this mod popular, you will be published whther you want it or not! Thank you so much for your time, effort, cost and support! I personally expect to see many of the original porn maps like before. Tell me...do you run that server at above 100% speed? I run CG at 100% even to help the noobs get and maintain control. Wouls it be safe to call yours more advanced? I ask because I plan to improve my webpage to reflect other servers beyond my own.

The naughty maps are still there and as ya know I always try to keep an eye out for more. So if you happen across any others let me know and I'll see about getting them on the server.

The server if I'm not mistaken is running at 125-130% speed. Always liked the faster pace with the speed turned up. It helped out the dial-up people big time from what I heard in the past so I just kept it that way.

Alittle bad news tho (hopefully not for too long) I will be loosing my redirect I believe on April 15th. I've got a backup plan in the works for this but it is in the hands of a friend ATM. In a nutshell a buddy of mine is placing a linux box up at his work and they have a couple of T1 lines at this place. So if it all works out I'll have free access to linux box and the redirect part so life will be good. That's if he will hurry up and get it installed. But hopefully this will get done soon and if the server does go down it will only be for a day or two while working out the bugs and kinks.

Until then........FRAG AWAY!

As of Saturday 4/14 I lost my domain name and hince lost access to my webspace and redirect for the server files. Today I talked with a friend of mine and will be able to upload the files to his webserver and the redirect should be fine once again. This will either take place this evening (Monday 4/16) or tomorrow. Would have had this taken care of alittle sooner but my gaming computer decided Friday of last week that it wanted show me something I had not seen in a long time........the good ole BSOD. So needless to say I've been messing with that off and on.

Also if anybody has noticed over the past say 2 weeks some serious lag issues there is actually a good reason for that. Went out of town about 2 weeks ago and left my wireless router open to the world so my neighbors could use my internet while I was gone. Just alittle FYI. Everything on that should be AOK now but if you notice any big spikes in lag just drop me a note here and I will look into it.

I noticed the lagg and mentioned it to you. You responded to me already and I tested it again yesterday and not only was all well again but the test map was one of those porn maps! Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up Herm.

UPDATE

My game box has had issues lately but for the past few days had been acting normal for the most part. So I figured I would FTP all the files off the webserver so I could get the files transfered to their new home. Well......was able to pull the files down and shut down the FTP client and as soon as I clicked the next thing BOOM.....hard freeze. Rebooted the computer and the hard drive made that ugly noise every computer use dreads to hear and on screen was an error message basically saying can't boot from the HD, insert bootable yada yada and hit return.

So now I'm trying to figure out exactly what I want to do. Do I get a new HD and just keep trucking along or do I bite the bullet and upgrade.

So? What did you decide? I think I'm done when the hard drive to my server crashes. It's been so long since I built both the servers that I have forgotten the itty-bitty details that manage each one. I hope you continue serving if that helps. How old was the hard drive? What kind? Did it ever boot back up properly? Heat will cause some of those same symptoms too you know.

The hard drive that died in my game box was a Western Digital 80 gig model. The drive was roughly 4+ years old and never had any sort of issue out of it before. I don't think it was a heat related issue that killed it. Due to a few rattles out of my power supply due to a stripped screw I took the case off it about a year ago and never put it back on so the system would breathe alittle easier. Before it died tho I was about to get into the event logger deal under admin tools in XP and saw a few errors about bad sectors on the drive so that might have possibly been the cause (not totally sure considering I'm no hardware expert by any means).

The server is housed on my 2nd machine and its been running fine for the most part. Only problem I have right now is seeing about getting the redirect back going but I wont be able to mess with it till I get the other box back to some sort of normality. For now tho I am gonna see about picking up a HD today or tomorrow sometime just to get the gamebox back running.

The upgrade from what I have figured in my online shopping is more than likely gonna be a E6600 core duo 2 (2.4ghz) with about 2 gig of ram (corsair DDR2-667), a 8600 GTS Nvidia Video card (DX 10 ready and all that jazz), Western Digital SATA 160 gig HD with 16mb buffer and I'm still figuring on the motherboard part. Should be a decent screamer for about 850-950 shipped to the front door from www.zipzoomfly.com . I'll more than likely make my mind on this during the weekend as to whether or not to drop that sort of cash.

P.S. Just realized that my avatar is rather fitting for this sort of thing. :)

I love that avatar. Keep it forever. What ever happened to the bouncing boobs that someone else had? Good luck with the new system. I have more than plenty of room for your high speed redirect files if you'd like. I can make you a folder and give you a shortcut to it and you can upload away for free. Even your porn maps! See, I'm not holier than thou like all of you think. I just aided and assisted or at least offered to aid and assist someone to spread smut. I'll get back from church in about an hour and a half. Later all and God bless.
