I received an email today from bestbuy today stating my order shipped via fedex. An order that cost roughly $1700.00. An order that I actually didn't make. First thought is oh shit someone got my credit card. Then I noticed the fedex tracking number that came with it didn't work on the fedex site. Next I tried checking the order number at best buy. Also no good. Another strange thing about thew email is that it had a zip file attached to it. Well even though I had a pretty goo idea of what I had I called Bestbuy to confirm it. Yes indeed it's a virus and they are in the process of attempting to track down where it has opriginated from. If you get an email from customercare@bestbuy.com about an order you made I'd avoid the temptation to open the attachment. Here is the actual email. Minus the attachment obviously. Hmm. I have an idea. Every time that one of these virus programers are found, arrested, and convicted, I say that they be injected with an actual virus to fit the crime. The small time programers that create spyware and the like get something mild, like the cold or maybe herpes simplex injected around the anal area. The ones that create the viruses that destroy your systems and cause general chaos get ebola. Of course they will have to be quarentined to prevent the spread of the virus, but I think that it would be a good way to prevent any other morons from doing this in the future. Thoughts? |

I disagree! However, a day or three in the stocks subject to public ridicule, (rotten vegetables optional) and or a good flogging may be in order though. |
