After 2 months of research and 46 questions I asked of Hermskii.
I now have (with the help of Mr Hermskii) and have installed a
brand new kickazz ATI 9800 PRO 128mb video card.
The picture is so clear and bright I get dizzy looking at the monitor.
It's night and day.
Sooooo......I suggest you all run and hide because I can see clearly now !!!

That is great news, MEAT. See, this is an 8X AGP card, but you do not have to have an 8X bus to run it.
I would bet that not only is the picture clearer, but the game is smoooooooth too.

That's the one that I have too, and It's the bomb ( or rather was the bomb when it first came out )!LOL... Meh ! ya just can't keep up with technology as far as the computer stuff,unless ya go that endless-Jargonaut bank account hehehe !right Jargy?? lol

Damn! And here I am still with my GeForce 4 ti4200 128mb AGP card. I would complain more but my card has been very sweet to me over the years and is the best video card I have ever had.

Watching MEAT go through review after review after review and researching his purchase to death, it gave be the bug to get a better card myself and based on the fact that his system and mine are virtually the same, I would have and almost did get the exact same card.

The bug is almost gone already as I know I'll have build a new PC soon and will step up to the PCI- Extreme format in the future.

I think this card that MEAT got offers the most punch for the dollar for his system and being a person that has played UT before using the exact same card as his old video card ( a TNT2 M64 ) I know that he is in heaven now. The old card he had produced on average about 20-25 fps. His new one runs around 80-180 on average with spikes into the upper 300's! Nice upgraqde MEAT.

The old video card was holding me back.
Now I can't wait to see all the smoke from all the
redeemers as I rain down "Spray" on all you poor souls.
But serious, this card is awesome. It's a whole new world.

Yes, I like mine too. It was a small but noticeable step up from the 9700 Pro I was running previously.
e.g. I could fly the strangelove at the UT2k4 Missile Madness server and not crash in some tricky spots that always knocked me down with the 9700.
