Take the Hipper 100, for example. It's an "MP3 mood creator," an egg-shaped device that flashes 10 different colors based on the melody of the music you run through it. Reading MP3s off of any USB device, you can simply plug a thumb drive loaded with music in, hook up your speakers, and let the soothing colors wash over you. The colors will change with the rhythm of the music you play, so feeding it the Ramones will probably make it flash like a strobe light, while Zamfir, master of the pan flute, would make the colors slowly drift in and out. As the press release says, the Hipper 100 is "shaped like an egg, [but] provides far more surprises than an egg." Sold!
