Hear ya's breathing but I just can't see's ya.......

I've added 5 new maps to "Ain't Your Mama's Redeemer Server"..... but I need some feedback.
Can you connect.....can you play?

The server was finally up when I was playing UT tonight. It ran ok at first, but then the lag got ferocious, around 9pm CT. I could still fire redeemers for some reason, but the translocator stopped working. When I tried to vote for a different map, it kept telling me to wait 20 seconds to vote.

There are also about 5 too many bots.

I hung for about 30 min without lag and was telefragging bots at will.
Sorry you had problems....hmm? We've been having thunder storms here and losing power at times so hopefully my server will stay up.
Anyway, trust me I'm not a fan of bots....but with a majority of my maps being HUGE....bots are a comfort.
But I feel ya....more people less bots.

Hey Meat, you need to upload DM-Aquilus and any related files it needs to the redirect server. I got a "server refused to send" error when I tried to play that map. :colors:

As you surely see day after day, I'm not so often I used too (in CG or anywhere) because I'm diving under tons of work since two months and for still about one. :(

I just look at the forums from my office but I haven't any game in the PC here.

I'll have a look on your server asap but the only time I went there, I had a great lag too !!?? (15 days ago I think)

I'll be back to gaming in a few weeks I think (I hope !!!)

Go ahead with your server, it takes time before a server gets its fans ! :brilsmurf:

I assume that you play on the server itself, and not on amother computer. You would not experience any lag from a connection. One thing that I suggest that you do is scan the server for spyware. They have a habit of sending out information that might effect lag.

hmm....sorry for the error message.
Not sure what it is.....I've removed it from my server and I reinstalled.
Hope that does the trick.

Check out the .ini file to make sure the redirect is spelled correctly.

Speaking of maps: As you like huge maps I have a suggestion for you, MEAT: DM-CTC-Deadly Worship
It is an immense map, based on the cathedral tile set. Lots of winding ramps, and z-axis fun. There are also many teleporters that take you all over the place. I played this one just long enough to know that you'll probably like it for your server. There is a whole series of these CTC maps, but I don't know how many of them are suitable for redeemering, let alone what size they may be.

If you want to look at these CTC maps, (or the others there) before you add them, I found them at:

Be prepared for moderate to bad lag as this server is in Holland. It's a lot of fun to play on though, when the connection is fair to good. One of the members asked for large maps, so I sent Chico a whole bunch, btw. :colors:

Even though most of my maps are new to the redeemer.

And the fix is in...so were finally able to play DM-Aquilus?

As for that DM-CTC- series of maps, I have had a look at all of them over there on Chico's instagib server. The following are the one's I thought you might be interested in, as they're all largish, if not huge.

I've seen 3 of the maps before....a little tight or to many doors.
