Congratulations MEAT. I played several maps on your server and it played very smoothly. Had one instance of ping problems, but it was mostly consistant at around 110. Very nice map selection too. It has been a long time since I played DM-Helleth. Brought back some good memories.
I think you have done a wonderful job with this server and you should be commended. I notice that Athena has the frag per hour record with a little over 2000. I am now making a challenge to anyone out there to break this record. It will not be easy to do either.
I am proud of you, sir. You have come a long way in a short time.Image

Thanks Jargonaut its been a challenge as well as a learning experience. But a lot of the credit goes out to Hermskii for being patient and understanding.
And without his support and push I'd probably be drinking more beer and playing something else right now......hmm, maybe I made a mistake....lol

Thanks a lot {SAD}Venus, just hope the big maps catch on. Although there are a couple mid size maps for the sprayers but over all I wanted room for hiding and gliding. Like my bud Hermskii would say, " just like to sit back with a beer in one hand and a missile in the other".
I'm pretty sure he was talking about the redeemer....lol
But still needs some more play. Two or three people is fun but I'd love to see 10 people in one of those maps.
Tell all your friends to give it a try....

I'm busy for now but I'll try the Guinness can in a hand and mouse in the other as soon as I save half an hour (not for the game but for the Guinness) :clown:

Dude, give it time. I know that Herm will tell you, and I do as well, that it takes any server time to get it's customer base going. Do NOT get discouraged. Just let it go. People will come if you are patient.

You're right Jarg but I'm so anxious to see how these larger maps will play with a room full of people.
And at the same time I'm worried that these lager maps may scare off people if they play them all alone.
Maybe I'll just relax and have another Guinness?
Actually Guinness taste like well water...so I better have a Budweiser since it's the King of Beer.

Jimmy is Down!!
Actually my server is down for awhile.
My wife (god love her) connected a router to our PC
so we could use the phone through our cable.
Now I have no clue why my server doesn't work.
Bare with me as I finger through the owners manual.

Duh. I was actually stumped at first but now I know the answer. You have to be tyaught how to port forward your UT ports. Looks like you'll be down till Saturady. Turn off the server until then. Don't try to fix it yourself. I want to be there when you fix it. Later!

LOL, I clicked the link and then noticed it started with 192.168........hahahaha. Sorry Meat. That isn't your new IP by the way. Well in a way it is but it isn't the IP that we will be connecting to. Just turn off the server and walk away. You could continue reading that manual I wrote. I explained it in there I think.
