Funny you should mention that. I just read a review of this anti-trojan program calledEwido at this website. They liked the program. Be sure to read the last paragraph of the review, apparently Ewido has been improved so that it doesn't hog the cpu as much as before.

Both of these products have free versions. I wonder which is better?

Too bad that the one they liked the best, Trojan Hunter has no free version. Only a 30 day trial period.

Edit #2: Why do I always do this sh!t late at night? I always end up staying up until 4 in the morning.

I decided to give Trojan Hunter its 30 day trial. So I went and got the program. I scanned the zipped file with Norton. All was well. I installed the program and used the auto updater as required by the installation process. Right after I did that Norton popped open a window to tell me that it had found and removed a trojan called Backdoor.Graybird. Then I ran the program, and it found a possible trojan in my windows system32 folder called NTREGOPT. I submitted the possible trojan to Mischel Internet Security, and told them about the Graybird trojan that Norton had found. I warned them that as their software was the only thing I had downloaded today, I probably got it from them. I'll let you know what develops.

Right now I'm off to Norton land to manually update my anti virus to their very latest definitions. Then I get to run yet another scan.

Yup nameless i know the feeling i was up till 2 am last night running scanners and found a back door trojan with the one i posted the site i use for this and have posted it regularly have ewido and A squared (A2) listed side by side so guess they could be used the same as spybot S&D and Adaware. funny it should find FireFox i use that and nothing was picked up on my scans about it maybe an add on you have used? ..

Whew... I thought I was the only paranoid computer freak on the planet.
I actually like A squared better than Ewido. It seems to be sensitive. I know what is malware and what is not, so I would not suggest this to a general computer user. Sad thing is, it is the general computer user that is MOST at risk of getting these bugs.
