Hey skank do you know much about MAusers. I may purchase one soon.
Possible new toy.
FahQ I have a couple of Mausers. I have a VZ 24 Czech, and a Yugoslavian k98a.
The Czech's bore is almost done, but still will hit the steel really well. The Yugo is unissued, and only test fired. Not a scratch on it. I think its a 'Mitchell Mauser" but dont have any paperwork on it. All the serials match up luckily.
Possibly the strongest and most reliable action in the world, Enfield enthusiasts might disagree, but Ive owned them too and still really love the MAuser.
I shoot from the bench sometimes, but mostly off hand, and both rifles are dead on at 100 yards into 10" sq. steel plates.
If you are recoil sensitive...welllllll. Heh heh heh!
Both of mine are chambered for 8MM (7.92 actually). Ammo is freakin cheap ($30 +shipping for 380 rounds)!!!! But corrosive, so get some ballistol or learn how to clean out corrosive salts the old fashioned way (hot water).
Mausers should still be cheap...buy it man...I have friends with Mausers Wayyyyyy more beat up than mine and still shoot freakin beautifully!!!! Iron sights are the way to go sometimes.
