Really??? Wow! Did you get to see it? I did not realize that the UK had bad thunderstorms. Just more of a dreary rain.

Darkmatter, I take it that there are never tornados out there?
I've only seen a Tornado once and it was the sight. Exciting but
scary at the same time. It was here in Edmonton back in 87 i believe. The funny thing was , I didnt even realize it was a tornado cause tornados just dont develop here. I was out side with a sheet of plywood picking up baseball sized hail when low and behold I look up and there was the funnel. I ran back in the house......quickly.

You should hide in Northwest (I think or northeast) in basement without window.

Hey Dark

Must be bigger news than you thought. It made the morning TV news here in Florida. Video footage and everything. Looks like there was a good amount of damage!

Hey Dark, I looked at the TV news yesterday (I'm on holidays in a friends house on an Atlantic coast Island named ILE D'YEU) and there has been a tornado in center-east of france too !!!

We never have that kind of winds usually !! The pictures were awesome !
Some poeple lost their houses and cars. Hope insurances could pay for that ?... :cyclopsani:

From what i heard it demolished three streets worth of houses or damaged that many.
Hmmm no we never get any that hit land althought we do get the tail end off them that die out just off the coast so we actually only get get high winds or gale force winds if its the back end of a hurricain in the last 30 yrs to my memory we had possably 2 hurricains that hit and the tornado but all small compaired to what you guys get in the U.S
Ohh and a huge flash flood that washed out a small island near london that also did actual damage to london thats why they developed the thames barrier.

Dark

P.s never actually got to see the film footage so you guys have actually seen more then me about what happened here lol
