As a work in progress, I think the map is coming along just fine.

2k knows how I feel about jumping puzzles, so I'm glad he's made those two areas a little easier. :)

The only suggestions I would make at this time would be:

-to make it at least possible to survive that lava room you go to if you pass through the "wrong" mirror, if it isn't already possible?

-perhaps those fish guarding the jump boots could be killed a little more easily?

-getting killed near the end for simply going through the "wrong" door was frustrating. Some sort of warning, like a death's head perhaps, should be above the "bad" doors so that you have at least some idea it's not a good idea to go that way.

;) :)

There'd be no fun in that though, consider this, it's like a puzzle you have to solve, i memorized which doors to go through just like how i memorized the way in real confusing maps like TGES 4. When you take away the puzzles and leave the obvious things it no more fun. Monsterhunt isnt just killing monsters, if you like that then it's Invasion, might as well be Deathmatch with monsters.

I would like to say as far as jumps go i would rather have 'miles' of medium jumps that just p*ss you off with the number of jumps you have to make then a small room with 20 extra small tiny squares you got to be super efficient jumper to make half way across the room, by all means add jumps in a map i hated them at first, quite like them now with the exception of the above factors. As for long maps there just as good as small maps. Adding keys, doors that have switches the other side of the map and all things like that i consider to be part of monsterhunt that for me makes it a team game not just running from one end of the map to the other killing monsters some of you that have been on the same time as me must of seen me say "well that was another monster race" racing thru the map just to get to the end and claim i got the highest score is the wrong attitude to have in a team game.

You're welcome Nameless, hope you make it to the other side. ;)

The lava caves used to damage you much more in the earlier versions. I have lowered it many times, but maybe I still need to push it down a bit more. I just never can get it perfect for all, because one player may have 2000 in health while the next only has 200.
A little tip, don't fall down into the lava, then you are certainly doomed. ;)

I always try to push them up on the ground so they can suffocate, instead of trying to kill them with the guns.

The end portals were added to stop players from ending the game right when the last Titan has been killed. These portals plus the doors forces players to work together, unless one have the TL then he can end it by himself. But I'll look at it and see if something can be improved...

Thanks,

Ah, I see. That's good thinking there!

I still hate the idea of being punished for a simple mistake. Maybe instead of dying a player could be teleported back to the start of the puzzle instead? Would that be too difficult to do?

Nope not at all that can easily be done, but then the players will be able to finish much much faster. But if that's no problem then fine by me. :)

I'll look into it...

OK, the MH-Andromeda-Ancient-Test1L version is ready for testing now. I'll send you a mail with it, Hermskii.

Like I have said before, the jump sections have now been made easier.
Two extra bars have been added in the caved in floor section, and the others have been moved a bit so you don't have to jump as far.
In the Krall library tower you don't have to jump to the chandelier anymore, to get past the missing stairs. The last step has been lowered a bit.

I have also changed the things Nameless suggested:
The damage in the air in the lava caves has been lowered from 50/s to 25/s. The lava itself still kills you almost instantly (500/s).
You also no longer get teleported to the lava caves, when you choose the wrong portal at the end. You now get transported back to the start of the puzzle instead, like Nameless suggested.

Hope this version will make you all less frustrated then the previous. Tell me what you think of it... :)

I have the copy you sent me NR2000 and let me first say thank you for being open to suggestions. I know you had more than enough support to leave it as it was but I hope this will show you how listening to the silent majority really works to your advantage. I haven't installed it to the server yet because I have lots of family in town and I haven't been able to focus on anything more than a mod I've been trying to get BiGi to make for me. He finished it last night and it works perfectly. I'm anxious to get things installed. I have your map plus about three other new ones. The mod has already been installed. It is called BIGIZMH002. Does lots of stuff just like UTJMH but plenty more and I really prefer it.
