OK, I got the bare bones basics up just like on CG. I mean that there aren't any maps yet. All the other stuff is on including BIGI'S mod. This is about his 92nd release but only his first official one. Check it out! Like CG, this server will be off and on for a few days as I add maps and other fixings. Last part for both will be the batch file creation and that should work through pretty quick. Let me know how it plays for you. Later!

Good to hear, too bad the server has been reduced to six or so maps.

Hey! I added 10 more today. Most of them are the best of the best MH maps around and I think 2 or 3 aren't on any other MH servers because they were so hard to get working right. Many of these are really big so put on your running shoes!

OK! I just put on 12 more maps. These are just popular ones that are fun to play but that should bring the total up to about 28 which is much better than the default 6 it came with. Hottie and Scify and Nameless need to chime in at this point and tell me what is missing as far as good maps and newer versions of ones I have. Later! MHM is running from batch file now too just as CG. If it crashes it is because I took it down to add more stuff. CYA!

Ok here ya go.

Popular maps not yet on MHM:

Akemi vs tomoko

Barrier

Base Riot

City v3

Crystal Reactor

Curry Rise v2

Face

Gekojou_fix

Nightmare House

Ruins Bridge
-two versions of this one, both are good, imo

Skyland 1_1

Skyland 3

Steel Hell

Super Tomoko v2

TheDenofTheWarlord

Tomoko

Tomoko2

Tomoko vs Sayuri

VAKA 3

WarshipSuperNova

WhitePalace

This list is based on the best of the bunch at the nlcjr.com MH server that belongs to Jackie.

Herm, you should go to Dogs of War when you have a free hour and look at some of the large maps there, and see if you want any of them. Some of them should be ok at MHM, and are quite pretty.

I recommend against all of the Heberke variants, as they have become boring TK maps on other servers; because other than jumping there isn't anything to do. Idle hands are the devils playthings....... :roll:

Thanks you two. I will get working on that list as soon as right now. It will take a day or two being that I'm trying to use the original map names and not my own conversion to proper naming conventions. It is a hard pill to swallow for me but it was a losing war for me. I have to go out and get all of these again. Question Nameless.......you mentioned 2 versions of skyland. I already have one of them. Is mine bad something?

The 3 skyland maps are all completely different maps.

Skyland 1_1 is the one where you start on the beach and go into the mountain. Version 1_1 of that map is the better version.

Skyland 2 starts you out in the building, and you work your way around the outside of it, and then drop down into the lava pool to finish it.

Skyland 3 is the one where you work to open up the building that looks like the Parthenon, and go down to the basement to kill the super skaarj boss.

Hmmmm, I may have mixed up which is which with Skyland 2 & 3. :?:

:lol:

OK, Nameless, I have put on all of the maps you named to MHM. Note: Scify doesn't like the version of MH-City I installed. Also I don't have and can't find the map called MH-WhitePalace. MH-WarshipSuperNova is my only real trouble maker so far. It calls for a file called sgtech1.utx in order to be playable. The problem is that file originally came in Bonus Pack 4 I think and it has the first 3 letters in caps being SGTech1. This means that either I upload the original which is used in all other maps that use it or upload the one for this map and then new plyers won't be able to play other maps. I hate it when map makers do this crap. DM maps are far better made than MH maps. Of 250 DM maps I'll have three issues. MH, out of 100 I'll have 6 issues like this. People just don't pay attention. Ok, so send me WhitePalace and the exact version of MH-City tha tyou want. Hottie has also suggested: Monsters of Spam, Rock Tunnels and Akemi Clan.

I have no problems myself with the version of MH-City you are running. It's just slightly different in details and length from MH-City v3.

I only have WhitePalace in cache, and can't remember that trick where you use notepad to dig it out. :?

So far as I've ever been able to tell, Akemi and Akemi-chan are the same map with different names.

One major problem that exists right now is the version of MH-ATAA2 that you are running. That version has no rocket launcher in it, and therefore cannot be completed. You must find the fixed version that has a rocket launcher in the weapon room and replace the map. The original mapper screwed up and didn't include the one weapon needed to break the crystal in the last room. :roll:

Yes, it does appear that Monster Hunt mappers are the sloppiest mappers around. Or something......... :?

I can't get the map converter programs to run on this computer. Besides, the method where you open the cache list in notepad and rename the files from .uxx to their original file extensions is so elegant, and simple, that no program is needed. I just need to find out the exact method again. The last time I tried it, I couldn't get it to work. :? :(

I have the MH-WhitePalace+ map in a zip file with the additional files (Minus Bonus Packs) needed to run the map, if you still want it?

It should work it's the files Jackie uses...

Thanks NR2000. Ihave it now. Nameless, go into your cache folder. In there is a file called cache.ini . Open it and it will look something like this:

[Cache]
60B3F7B4482C94F3BB9150AF216F0438=MH-Kittara.unr
74A9918011D6A8C2C000AD91DD7AF1DF=MonsterHunt.u

6A54B1E54E9E9CF49714C4ACCF40169F=MH-Akemi-Chan.unr

Now, if you wanted the map MH-Canyon, all you would need to do is go find the file called 92CAE44411D57A45C000D8AEDD7AF1DF.uxx based on this list and rename it to MH-Cayon.unr and you would then put it in your map folder to be yours forever!

Now that you know all of that, please send me the proper copy of the map you say I have the wrong version of (ATAA0?). Thanks!
