I know there's a few Battlestar fans on here. Any thoughts on how the series has been doing?

I really liked the last episode, especially when they tried to interrogate Adama..."I'm a soft touch"...and when he stood up to the security goon and told him to make his choice...LOL!

I like it. I'm glad they stopped having the blonde hang all over Boltar through each seen. She hot but it gets tiresome. It is still too dark for my taste. I hate to think they will keep the bad guys one step ahead the whole time (having cylons on board). My VCR will be set to record each show still. I think the new StarBuck is doing a great job too. The commander rules. The XO rules too. I don't like the Chief though. Any good soldier would not have covered up for his girl like he did.

Maybe Cylons do it better?
And what is with the bit where what's his name is still on the planet Caprica with another copy of what's her name? He's like left way too far behind.......

If you haven't guessed by the way I haven't troubled to learn the characters names, I'm barely holding interest in this series. It's way too dark, taking forever to get anywhere, and I just totally lost interest during that episode with the prison riot. I gave up on that one half way through. I was about to bail on the next episode too, when it picked up a bit and I was able to hang in there. I think I'm a week behind you guys in the US? Starbuck just flew back to the mothership in a Cylon fighter last Saturday, and is still in the sickbay next episode, which I'm waiting to see this coming Saturday.

I predict this show will follow it's predecessor into oblivion quickly too.

So far it is ok, the first episode was fine, mainly because I had just watch the 4 hours of the miniseries...

The one with the prison, I watched a little, then went to bed.
This last one was pretty neat.

I really can't see where they are going with the series though...

Its on here tonight, so will post if it is crappy...lol

Agreed. I predict it won't be back next season.

Enterprise was way better than this, and it got cancelled? :?

Yea read on another forum about it being cancelled must say not bothered either way it was a good stand alone scifi programme along the lines of trek but as fot it being a pre-original trek the story lines were newer then even the next gen not a good start.

:( Yep, season 4 of Enterprise brings the end to the Star Trek genre. It all came down to ratings vs. the fans. It was getting creamed in the ratings by Battlestar Galactica. Although the fans want to keep the show, the 'powers-that-be' have pulled the plug from the wavering franchise. There are no current plans for future tv shows or films. There may be hope of a resurrection some years down the road.

And just when things were starting to get good. It has always been the track record for a star trek series to pull it together starting with the fourth season. There were talks that the Sci-Fi channel wanted to pick it up and continue, but Paramount said no.

There is a campaign underway to save enterprise but I don't think the powers care. I have sent my email.

I hear that they made an offer to all of the enraged trekies stating that if they can raise 34 million dollars, they will run it another season.

I have been around a few of these diehards, and believe me when I say that they will come up with the money themselves if the offer is legitimate.
