OK enough is enough. The cheating going on , on that server is just getting fucking nuts!!!!!!!!!!! This guy named Zygote plays all the time with two other buddies. He is invisible the ENTIRE GAME in maps that don't have invisibility. And his little butt buddies FOR SURE are useing aimbots. Now why is it that all these mods can be running on all the servers, but cheat protection it seems can't be bothered with?????? Same with MH and the jerks that shoot you off ledges. THERE ARE MODS TO STOP THIS CRAP!

Until I see CSHP or RCPURE running on the servers I'm done with this silly non-sense. Most every other UT group that runs servers run cheat protection, why not ours ????? I'll just start playing the servers that do run protection.

It's not like kicking my ass at this game is hard 8-)

sorry to hear that mickey i know zygote is a pain in the ass for his ghandi sniper but have not seen him using a cheat, as for his buddies whats there names ??? if i catch anybody cheating they say goodbye wont be the first or last i suppose, but as for the cheat protection i asked deadsun to put that on when he did for some reason it crashed the server all the time and screwed up in other ways too when it didnt crash.
As for mhm the only protection you can put on there are admins which hermskii has done dont know of any mod that stops di*ks shooting peeps off ledges.

For 15 minutes Zygote was at my base ( never left ) and was invisible the entire time. nuf said

MHM: there is a mod to stop team shooting. I've played servers running it and it works great. shoot a team mate and YOU die even if they don't.

But that still doesn't address the point of cheat protection( or lack of it ).

I read a artical by the guy who wrote the CSHP and UTPure mods, and I think the artical says it all.

cool mickey but putting a mod like that on the server means when seroius players come on and all get in a group to hunt they will in the end kill themselves i for one shoot others during a battle with monsters so would kill myself far more then the monsters, jackie has a sim mod installed and thats one reason i dont play there often.

Interesting article. Now I understand what a "wall hack" is. Someone was using one of those recently at CG. You couldn't sneak up on him, he always knew when you were just around the corner, and would lob a missile to you. I tried like hell to telefrag him, but couldn't get close enough quickly enough. :roll: :?

One question Mickey: When this Zygote person was invisible, could you see the gun he was holding?

There are certain skins such as the Nali Priest, that are not rendered on some maps. When that happens the all you can see is the person's gun. If he would switch to the translocator as his weapon, then perhaps he would be next to impossible to see at all.

No Nameless, no player skin or weapon skin. But let me be clear about this. He was invisible, but the "legal" type, or in short the game had him mip mapped as invisible which is why you can see invisible people in UT if your close enough. They show as wavey distortions ( like Preditor in the movie 8-)
But it never timed out like it should in normal game play.

This is just the newest hack I've noticed on MM lately. The usual aimbotters have been around also.

I haven't read the article yet but i will. I do know about cheats already but haven't paid them much attention at all. What is the name of the mod that prevents peeps from shooting each other? That sounds interesting especially if it can be set to cause no damage or movement to the shooter or the victom.

We have seen inviso players before but the weaopon always showed. Mickey, do you use OpenGL for your renderer? If so, find that palyer again and then switch your renderer to direct 3d and go back in. Can you see him then? OpenGL makes lots of peeps inviso to me.

There are some relics in some maps that give you permanent invisibility, there's one in one of the Deck 16 variants that Schwantz used to run on his server. I think it was called "lightening" something or other?

In any event I'm going to watch for this guy and "see" what's up with him. :roll:

Well, I also think that Zygote is a real ass. Invisible and sniping and Ghandi Blasting all day long. It gets old ....

The snipers DOU clan uses those relics and the difference between the normal invisibility and the relic is that the relic lets you a very few visible but not like the temporary invisibility of the UT normal game. :?
About Zygote, I didn't saw him (or anyone else) on MHM these last times cause everytime I want to connect it's full house !!! I'm glad about that but I can't play :cry: :cry: :cry:

hey mickey can you remember what map it was if it was that chicken blenders map i think the invisability on there once you get it last's till you are killed but as for zy seeing like me many are way past sick of him will warn that if he dont stop he can either not come on or be banned cant be any more fair then that can i !!. As for the cheat protection as i said have asked for it to be put on mm which is why i got admin rights in first place i was the only one from the gang playing that often and was sick of aimbotters you think its bad now should of tried it then did get rid of quite a few the others stopped comming but you always get some that keep trying.

First to Herm, I use Direct3D allways as I run a AMD Athlon processor and a GeForce 4 graphics card ( both support D3D directly )

Second to Dark, It was artic fighter jets. I know there is a invisibility relic on top the the middle tower. But he never left Red Base so I just camped and watched for 15. He never went visible and never left the base.

To All this is why I brought up CSHP and UTPure, both wouold stop 99% of all client side hacks. As for the TKers in Monster Hunt, that might be a little harder to deal with. I'll look into existing mods that deal with this and see if there is a variant that might apply to MHM.

LOL found another botter on MM. The name is Coop. This one was funny, a dead aimbot give away. He was getting flanked by 3 of us while he was defending the base, but because of the aimbot he could only shoot at the player closest to him, not the one going for the flag LOL Really backfired on him. :lol:
