Hey guys and gals. Had a spill on my new bike I purchased back on Thanksgiving and needless to say haven't seen my house since this happened. It happend on Dec. 29 around 12:30-1 in the morning. Wasn't doing anything stupid or crazy. Went to take a small gradual turn at about 35 mph and the rear end decided it wanted to be first. Well the bike basically slid into a curb and shot me off like a rocket. I cleared a triangle grass divider and almost 2 lanes before I hit the ground and a curb and proceeded to tumble. I came to with all sorts of people standing over me asking a zillion questions and what only seemed like 2 seconds I was at the hospital. I have a hairline fracture on my left arm above the elbow..... I dislocated my right thumb to the point they where talking about having to possibly pin it...... I ripped a 6 inch long 1 inch wide cut across my knee (got to see what my knee cap looked like.....icky)..... So if the server happens to be down I have to say sorry about that. I haven't been to my house since the acident but hopefully by this weekend I will make it over there and get the monster rebooted. Just typing this out hurts like the dickens so I gonna have to end it here plus it takes forever trying to hunt and peck out words. Anyways justed wanted to let yall know what was going on and hopefully by the weekend the server will be up to snuff and by the following weekend I'll be doing better..... Anyways take care and hope to be fraggin again soon. |<idcapri OUCH!!! |

Well at least I don't have the guilt of helping you purchase that ride. Of course only you know what I'm talking about. Hope you are on the mend soon and I'll keep an eye out for ya online. Feel better bro. Glad to know your still among the living. P.S. Is your insurance going to cover the crotch rocket. I know how much you were itching to get that bike. |

I'm very glad to hear you are ok. I had almost the exact same thing happen to me in 1988 except I was drunk. There I was on my two week old used Honda VFF 700 Interceptor. The place was I-26 in Charleston South Carolina. Racing a buddy who was on his Kawasaki GPZ 550. We both took the Ashley phosphate exit off of the highway. We were doing about 75 at the point we realized it was a right angle turn and not a gradual feed off of the highway. He was in front and leaned so hard to try the turn that his engine guard was leaving 20' sparks everywhere. I never saw what happened to him. Me, I knew it was a lost cause so I hit the curb and rag dolled it. I woke up just past the on ramp. Bike nowhere in sight and people asking questions. I got a cherry on my left hip and that was a bout it even though I was unconscious for about a minute. My buddy ended up more like you. We got him to the hospital quick. My bike was totalled and I rebuilt and bought his. I sold it back to him when he got better and I bought a duplicate of my Intercepter but red instead of blue this time. I had the new one for about 4-5 years and finally totalled it going 5 miles an hour and slipped on antifreeze some car had overheated out. I got another Interceptor after that. The last one was a 87 VFR 700. It was sweet. I never recked it but sold it about 3 years later. Haven't had a bike since. I want the Suzuki Hiyabusa badly! New kid...no way it's ever going to happen now I bet. Back to you: Dude that sux! What was the bike??? How much longer till you know your total fate as far as injuries go? Please tell me you were wearing a helmet. I was in full military required motorcycle gear every single time I wrecked thank god! Get well. Take your time. I was starting to wonder why people were starting to play at CG all of the sudden. LOL. Later! |

Damn Kid you got that bike ridin all wrong. 1) No wrecks!!!!! 2) Only ride to look cool and pick up chicks. 3) If ya gotta lean forward to ride your bike is bunk  4) Perfect 1st bike (for a 14 y.o.). 45ci Flat head Harley, suicide shift, no derby cover, straight pipes (no muffler) 21" over-extended springer front end, 21" front rim spooled to a Kawasaki 90 brake drum, Cobra seat, NO sissy bar. When you down shift you must have flames coming out the exhaust, No electric start, tranny must be from a trike so you can show off backing up the plank into the truck bed. 5) Don't take off so fast and hard that ya leave the ol' lady plopped down on the pavment. Really pisses em' off and puts a damper on future rides. Damned I wish I still had that bike. Get whole soon Mi' Amigo 8) |

I am glad you are ok (relatively speaking) Don't worry about the server, we all understand that real life (ie gettin thrashed) takes precedence. We know you would much rather be on a server causing a death loop! ...the only time I ever 'really' wrecked a bike, (besides some minor nicks and scrapes) was when I was 12, riding a little 150cc dirt bike, chain broke, and locked up in the rear axle, wide open in 4th. No matter what they say, humans can fly. Actually walked the bike home, was so lucky. Hope your better soon. |

whoa, that's pretty scary Kid. Glad you're ok -- that's some dangerous shit. I had a buddy whose uncle fell off a bar stool, hit his head, and died. Get better fast -- Mah |
