 Post subject: Hack atack on the forum ...

Just FYI,

the forum was hacked yesterday by a worm that goes after specific forum software and PHP exploits. I was able to fix it within minutes. I have since upgraded the forum software and PHP. Lets hope this will hold water.

I have logged 7 more attemps since yesterday as of this morning.

Oh, make that 8 - just happened again.

I ran into a problem getting in yesterday so that explains it. Thought maybe you finally decided to pack it in bud. :D I think I'm using the same forum software on my site. Thanks for the heads up Andy.

there is a fix for viewtopic.php. Also get the latest PHP.

Nah, not without warning. Besides that, it is still pretty active. We had 20 registered users login in the last 24 hours. No idea how many anonymous. That's not bad.

Is your forum set up on your own personal server? I use the forum software that is provided by my web hosting company so I'm not sure if I'd be able to update it.

Nevermind Andy. I just checked PHP's site and it says to check with your hosting company to make sure they are up to date. Thanks for the heads up.

LOL, the attack wiped out all the htm dn php files on the site. IT is pretty serious. So I had to slap back on what I had as backup. Wanna go and fix it?

uploading what I have now. If there is anything missing let me know.

THE ONE was doing the {FAH} tag for a while to but he was using his player name in combination with the tag. It was pretty damn funny. Right out in the open showing his {FAH} pride. For a while I thought the trend would continue with all the regs adopting the {FAH} tag. I really felt the love and then the bubble popped and even the original {FAH} disappeared. :cry:
