Well Folks today is Veterans Day and it's time for me to remind everyone to remember our fallen heroes. God knows most Americans need to be reminded that today is a holiday. If your out today and see a Vet selling poppies out in front of a store, go up and shake his/her hand and say thank you. It's the very least you can do considering the sacrifices these folks have made and it will make their day I can assure you. Stepping down off soapbox now. Didn't feel well enough to attend the ceremony at the Cenotaph today, so I watched the National ceremony on CBC. I wear my poppy every year too. According to the program we still have 8 vets left from WWI. Averagae age = 103. One was at the ceremony in Ottawa today. :) |
