I just purchased a new video card for this rig. A Gforce 6800 GT OC from BFG Tech. It is suuuuweeeet. :D

Congratz on the new PC, DM. It looks like a monster. If possible, you may as well get a gig of ram in that bad boy.

Both Vid cards are good, imho. I would probably lean towards the Nvidia.

thx for input someone else said about gforce and games being made for them or optimised for gforce cards anyway its only another £10 so not a big difference, as for the ram it will get upgraded but by me its cheaper to buy separate then to add it when built by mesh as this rig has to last at least 3 yrs maybe more i am going for the best i can afford.

Hey Hey Hey its finaly arrived i got the system above but with the gforce 6800 will take a few days to get used to win xp and load the old games but for now everything looks sweet looking forward to those nice graphics i keep hearing about will also do the test on the graphics for those thats interested (i'm one of them) to see what it scores

not sure how good or bad that is but compared to old just to way better

I get 9,600 on my XP2600 with Geforce4 Ti 4200. So you are doing twice as well at least. Feel better? Lol!

well for once in this area i am ahead dont know if u remember last time i did this i was way behind and made everyone else feel better going to do the 05 version see what i score there will post when done
