Do the following:
Go here and download and install the but don't launch the program called 3DMark2001 SE (330):
http://www.futuremark.com/download/?3dmark2001.shtml
Now, go here and download the patch and install it but read this whole thing before you start it:
http://www.futuremark.com/download/?3dm ... atch.shtml
Now that you have the program and the patch installed, start the program by going to "start, programs, MadOnion.com, 3DMark2001 and finally, 3DMark 2001 (again).
After about 5-10 seconds, you will see a red splash screen for MadOnion.com 3DMark2001.
After the splash screen appears a settings window will open. Don't change anything or do anything except click on the button for "Demo". A window will pop up suggesting you run the demo in 640 X 480 resolution. Click "YES".
The demo will run for a little few minutes and then stop and ask you to "Insert Disk Two". Don't do anything. Just wait. It will continue to a very cool Matrix-type scene. Once that scene is over the credits will start to roll. That's when it's actually done and you can hit the escape key to exit the program. Don't stop there though. Start 3DMark again but this time select "Benchmark" instead of "Demo". Don't make any changes or anything before you hit "Benchmark". It will run through about 15-17 test. You don't have to do anything during this time but wait. You are waiting for a window that will pop up and score your PC's MultiMedia ability. Be sure to tell us what your score was. I usually get about 9,800. The score can vary about 200 points each time you run it.
Let us know what you think. Later!
