Sierra is giving away the first and second Tribes video games for FREE. Now that is a price that everyone can afford. I got mine in Computer Gaming World, but you can go to http://www.FilePlanet.com and get yours. Why not? It's FREE! :D

Hey Jarg, great find!!! Curious though, where did you get the free download? You mentioned Fileplanet. I tried downloading the Tribes file form Fileplanet and I required a subscription to log on prior to file transfer........hmmmm.

(In case you've never used File Planet before) Lotus, you can scroll down the page to the free download servers. The problem with those is that you may have to wait quite a while for your turn. Choose the one with the shortest wait time, then click on the download button. Enable the audible chime alert sound so that you know when it's your turn. Then you click again on a download button and it starts. Right now as I type this the shortest wait for a turn for Tribes 2 is 51 minutes.

Ah ......thanks Nameless....that helps a great deal, especially the direct link to actual page. The wait for the download sucks but shes for free so complaining certainly is not an option!

how do you load the game jarg?
i d/loaded the file and unzipped it gives me four files
3 .bat files i think server ,offline ,and online, and one folder but when i click one it wont do anything
i have also d/loaded the update but that wont load because it cant find tribes.exe neither can i

thanks scify i downloaded both of them i cant get on the servers because they want you to update to a newer version and i get a error message the update dont work :?
but it plays pretty good very much like UT
tribes 2 wont work i cant get past the logon screen because it is black im not sure it might be a graphics compatability problem with my laptop :cry:

I feel crappy about getting your hopes up and the damn thing doesn't work.

As you can see they have run out of Keys for the game and suspended the download, but you may want to check back to see if the link will work later.
