Yes, I have purchased a new game. City of Heroes. I guess that I have always been facinated by the super powered type, and had to get it. So far so good. I love the character creation aspect of the game. It took a friend and myself about three hours to create the first hero. A long time to be sure, but it sure was fun. Now I have two heroes, and plan on playing one of them for a while. Her name is Knock Out, and she has a POWERFUL punch. Here is her picture:


The bad thing is that it is $15 a month to play and $50 for the game... I think it will be worth it.

seems like a cool game jarg but expencive $15 a month after $49
for the game, Seems strange buying a game then having to pay 2 play.

It is REALLY good. Addictive as hell. Case in point. I started playing today at around noon. I finished at around 9 PM..... I have done NOTHING that I needed to do today!!!! This is one of those games where you wonder where the time went.

I understand, DarkMatter. The first month is free, so I guess that this month, I just paid $40. I got the game at a discount. Either way, I can say that this game is GREAT. Tonight, I teamed up with seven other people with my new character named SlobberKnocker. He is a fighter. We had a really good time.
The $15 a month is not too bad if the game is entertaining. If you go to the movies, how much do you pay for 2-3 hours of entertainment? Most of the movies that come out are crap anyways.
I know how some of the folks here like to explore new maps. That is kind of the best quality about this game. The city is HUGE with lots of places to explore. The bad guys get really tough to beat sometimes, but you never really die ingame.

After playing the game for a week, I realize that the entertainment value of the game is well worth the price of admission. I played last night until 6 AM.... This thing is great. I may have finally found a game as addictive as UT.
