I downloaded DRTCP from broadbandreports today and been trying to set it up but they only give you 4 tries a day urgh. It seems to help my results my download is 713 and upload is 131. My package from verizon is 768/128. I might be able to get the other package which is 1.5/768 i believe but its 60 bucks....I wondered if anyone has any sugestions on what figures i should have listed in DR tcp thanks....... |

I have heard good things about this program. I have never used it though I almost did once and still have it downloaded and put away. XP and my cable connection have given me good enough speeds to make me not want to try to tweak it further. I hope your speeds are reversed actually. I'd be mad if my upload were faster than my download. I'm at about 2,800 down and 360 up. I'm very happy with this right now. I will post a link shortly that will greatly explain this program for you. I started reading it and felt it was above my head so I backed away until I got desperate for more speed. That hasn't happened for me yet. |

Here is the link. This is the best site I've ever used to tweak my connection. EVER! This link will take you to a forum. I suggest that you go to the home page from it and then work of of the links provided on the left of the page. I have in the past, used the generic registry spead tweaks on Windows 98 with great results. Usually, I almost doubled my download speeds. I'll save you the trouble and tell you that there is nothing at all you can do to improve your upload speeds (Basically). http://forums.speedguide.net/index.php?s= Here is the home page: http://www.speedguide.net/sg_tools.php |
