That's $1421.30 US Dollars ($1862.04 Cdn.) You're getting a nice cpu all right. The vid card you've selected seems to be newer to the 9700 Pro that I have. I assume its a better card? I wonder if you could settle for an 80 gig drive, and a CRT monitor, and use the money saved to buy another 512 of RAM? Would that be a good idea? I have: 2.5 gig cpu, ATI Radeon 9700 Pro with 128 mb video ram, and 1 gig of RAM, and an 80 gig hdd with tons of room left on it. I have everything cranked up full blast in UT 2004, video and sound. The game runs great! :D |

I would try to do it for under $600. Keep your old equipment like your: Monitor Keyboard Mouse Floppy CD-ROM Sound Card CD Burner DVD Player Printer Speakers Video Cam Joystick Scanner Hardrive Now go out and buy: Totally Sweet Modern Motherboard ($130) Nice Cool Case with 300+ Watt Power Supply ($80) Processor AMD 3.2Ghz 400 FSB ($210) DDR RAM 500MB ($150) Video Card ATI 9600 Pro ($145) OK, well that equals $715. Still it is less than half of what you found and I priced better ram and a better processor and a better motherboard. Just upgrade the rest of the top list as it breaks. Thank you! Thank you very much!!! |

An $18 case is a little bland.. and probably UGLY. For $55 US, you can have a cool looking case like THIS ONE For $46, THIS ONE Check out New Egg.com and all of the links at the bottom of the page for cool cases, and good prices. Here is the link. http://www.newegg.com/app/manufact.asp?catalog=7&DEPA=1 If you want a really gaudy computer, look at this link. http://www.crazypc.com/products/cases/crazypccases.htm |

I wouldn't have a clue about building a computer . Most of you can build your own computer . I am lucky that I do not put the wires in the wrong place . Which I have done before the sound wires. I put the wires in input to instead of output (or is it the other way around). I watched show they were putting a computer together from scratch .I wish I could build a computer it doesn't look so hard to do .but knowing me it will be hard . At least I know the difference from regular screwdriver from Phillips had screwdriver . |
