Is it just me or does it take like a whole minute to connect whether its a Deathmatch server or anything on line? When I connect to a Invasion server, by the time I finally get in, it says "Hermskii is out ". Then I have to wait for them to finish the level so I can respawn. I can then go from level to level ok so long as the map stays the same but if the game ends and a new one starts, again, I'm dead already by the time I get in. Is this happening to anyone else? |

It does not take me a minute, but it does take a good while for me to connect. Assault maps seem to be the worst. |

I haven't bought the game yet but I was reading one of my tech sites yesterday and stumbled across this. From http://www.arstechnica.com/ Under the section : Et Cetera: burstin' at the seams edition Right at the bottom of this section was this paragraph: While UT2004 seems very stable to me on the client side, I have to say that the server code is in bad shape. Of the two servers we run, they both crash consistently (the game code, not the servers per se, thankfully). We've put up another server that's being monitored close for crashes. That server's at 69.25.19.36, password: Ars . Sadly, we have to keep the server passworded because it otherwise fills up with pubbies who, frankly, don't know how to play Onslaught, and more importantly, aren't willing to learn. Sheesh. The Ars guys are having all sorts of trouble keeping a server running it seems. Wonder if da BOSS man is having these sorts of troubles running a server. Anyways just saw that and thought I would share. |<idcapri |
