Gee the PC industry is catching up. I've only been using BlueTooth for a year now. I find it humerous that Apple isn't even mentioned in this article although they (as well as Sony Ericsson) are the ones that breathed life back into this technology. Not unlike USB, which the PC world was ready to give up on until Apple came along and made it the Industry standard. Of course USB is still flakey on PC's. An article i read at the start of january said it almost died because the promise of a cheap means of connection couldn't be met or wouldn't be met they wanted too much back too quick and they backed down on there marketing plans and reduced the prices to what they said they would at the start. now there starting to add it because its worth there while to pay for it and it was designed for mobile fones anyway not pc they just tagged pc use on afterwards along with self diagnosing home wares eg fridge freezers toasters etc so they can dail up the service man themselves for help or fridges can order food as its used but thats still along way to go Dark :roll: :roll: :roll: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: |

First I have to rectify a typo. I meant to say "Oh No!" not "Oh Know!" Secondly I never claimed that Apple invented the technology nor that it was a PC only technology. I can tell you right now that it wasn't meant for Cell Phones without being meant for computers as well. Is your cell phone going to communicate with your refridgerator or your stove? I'm guessing no. I was simply trying to show that once again Apple saw the potential of a technology while the rest of the tech industry was ready to throw it on ther trash heap. Just like USB. Which was a PC technology that was all but dead till Apple resurrected it. Unfortunately like any other new technology you have to pay for it. The d-link bluetooth adapter cost me $45 but it sure as hell beats typing in all my email addys, phone numbers, & addresses, into my phone with the number pad. Not to mention my calendars. So if bluetooth is gaining strength in the PC world then it's thanks to Apple & Sony Ericcson leading the way. So just like serial ports went the way of the Dodo because of Apple forcing in the issue with USB, so will USB more then likely become ancient history thanks to bluetooth. How cool would it be to have a completely wireless desktop? When it does happen remember who paved the way. Of course the technology still won't quite work properly on PC's because you'll still be using windows. :twisted: Geesh, with all the money Microsoft saves letting Apple do there R&D ya think they'd be able to create a better OS. :twisted: :roll: :lol: |

Sorry [FAH], I have to get in here. You are far too upset to let this pass by without me making a comment. On behalf of PC owners and Windows users everywhere even though I also own a Mac, I just wanted to say thanks for everything that Apple has done that has been stolen and used for PCs no matter how bad it works for PCs. Whew! Big sentance!!! Anyway, I'm positive that you are pretty much correct in most of your ravings. This one is one of the best being that again, more people will enjoy the half working PC version of whatever it is that Microsoft or whoever stole from Apple and marketed to all of us stupid penguins and sheep. I love all of the goodness my PC delivers no matter how broken it is whether I'm speaking of the software or my PC. I just hope that you succeed enough with all of your talk about how great Mac is that they stay in business long enough to take over and unify the computer world or at least continue developing technology or saving it enough for the PC folks to enjoy the rewards of this technology. I win no matter what because I have both systems. I'm on a Mac this second!!! Mac.s are pretty! This one almost does everything my PC does. This one has never broke once. Luckily, I can build my super PC 3 times over for less than what I paid for this Mac. I can upgrade everytime I rebuild too. That means that by the last time, I rebuild, my PC will be three times faster than the Mac I have AND by then someone would have stolen the technology from Apple that makes all of those progams Windows has so much trouble with work now! PC people need to make a box that looks like an iMac with the swivel flat screen and little tiny footprint. That would be cool and they would look just like my iMac. What kind of mouse do you use [FAH]? C'mon, be honest. What mouse do you use when you play UT? Who makes it exactly? How many buttons does it have? What kind of car do you drive? It really doesn't matter does it? I mean no matter what you have the technology was stolen. You bought your car because you liked it or needed to own it for what you do. It may have one original idea from it's own company on the whole car but all of the rest was some other companies idea and your car's company used the idea for it's own gain and you the penguin/sheep bought it! If you tell me you have a Ford and actually argue back, you will bring me to tears from laughter. Please get back with us soon with your response and please make it shorter than this monster nightmare reply I just finished. I hate to say it but I think this will make you feel better which we think actually makes you feel worse. Either way I'm sorry for whichever one makes you feel the way you don't want to feel but as you see I win both ways again no matter what and what makes this totally priceless is I really don't care about the whole subject but my opinion has already increased your pulse and has made you anxious to respond. Man I forgot how much fun this was. I don't ever recall saying anything about Apple having it's ideas stolen. Although Windows is a complete rip off of Macs OS it was pretty much Apple's own damn fault that it was copied by microsoft. Other then that I've never claimed that companies stole their ideas. As a matter of fact I never claimed that blue tooth was Apples. I just stated that Apple was part of the driving force for this technology. I use a logitech trackball mouse and yes it has 3 buttons. I do like to right click. Remember that the Mac is created to be as simple to use as possible. It's geared toward folks that don't normally need to right click. With the exception of the Graphics industry of course. To be honest with ya I probably could use the single button mouse because I spend most of my time using the command key to close windows, copy, paste, create new folders, etc. etc. etc. rather then use the mouse to do these tasks. I really don't need to answer the car question becuase I think I already anwswered it. I never said Apple didn't uses other peoples technology as well. Apples new OS is so stable because it's underpinnings are unix based. Apple just recognizes what works and where the industry should be heading. Apple attempts to leap forward rather than take baby steps like MS. Apple is interested in building the computer right so it works. Microsoft is interested in pumping as much product as possible out there and fixing it later. If I answered the car question you would think I was well off and that wouldn't help my cause. I'm a blue color guy that wanted a good reliable machine. I bought it used and with money my wife made on her companies stock. I bought it because I knew it was reliable and was worth a chunk of change. Even if it was used. I wouldn't by a Ford for the same reason I wouldn't buy a PC. I just don't feel they are reliable. If every once in a while you had to turn on your windshield wipers while pushing your radios power button and the power windows all at the same time just to get the car running properly again would you feel that was a reliable machine. If you had to run a diagnostic test on your car every couple days because you were afraid it had a virus the last time you filled your gas tank would you feel that was reliable? Would feel it was reliable if you had to take it into the shop once a month to install a new alarm system on it because the crooks found yet another flaw in it? PC's sound too much like Yugo's with 454's in them. Yeah there fast but what good are they if they are poorly made. I now have 5 Macs ranging from 10 years old to 2 years old. Never had an issue with any of them. Never had to rebuild any of them. Never lost any information on any of them. Well this thread was started because no props were given to the companies that were pushing the technology back to the forefront. That was the only point I was making. Face it PC's rule and you know it who the hell would dish out $4000 for a mac ? Duh? ill put my 3 gig pc up against any of your mac machines ans guess what, mac will loose! haha... and when it does blow up oh well ill replace whatever it is for a few dollars. Wow! That was really something Vette. Normally I wouldn't bother responding to you but your posting was just so "powerful" that I had no choice. There was just so much weight behind what you said it's really quite hard to argue with you. Were you actually trying to make a point or just talking out your ass as usual. I should go elsewhere and "Flame". Yep i agree even tho they can turn it out for next to nothing they still want there money back fast which is the point i was making. "The School of Taxidermy & Beer Drinking" doesn't count. :lol: If your such a smart guy then you would have to know just how dumb you sound when your cursing people out on a forum on the internet. Put together some well thought out sentences instead of saying things like "Your an ass monkey" or "your a F@%^$#*'n A$$#$@%" and people here might think differently about you. Then again, like me, you probably don't care what these folks think of ya. As far as education goes I have a limited education. Community college and that's it. I've never claimed to be super intelligent although I may come off as a know it all. But then again we have a few of those here. There are folks out there with PHD's that don't have a lick of sense or any class for that matter. If your a dentist I'm certain you fall into that category. If your not a dentist then it's ok to act like a buttmunch. At work I curse like a feind. Of course I'm trying to curb this. I'm sure there are plenty of folks at work who have heard me spewing nonsense from my gutter gums and I'm sure it leaves them with the image of a classless slob. So anyway I was discussing Apple helping to push bluetooth to the forefront and look what I get. |

What must I do besides change my name to Vette to get you all heated up like you used to be? The first post I replied to sounded like you were going to get upset or something and then you came back with thoughtful responses. Shucks darn! Max I don't think your flaming on with the same quality fuel like you used too. Have things started to line up for you better? Found God? I had just gotten used to you going from one of the most liked folks here to a far less popular level and I was getting used to listening to you rant with passion and burning focus and all but this thread isn't your best work. Vette, you too aren't actually as upset as you used to be when dealing with Max though the cussing is all still there. If ya'll aren't going to really get nasty and fight it out, then I guess I'll just have to see you on the servers (the ones that haven't crashed). I need to see if mine is running still now that I think of it. Sad to see you too going soft on each other. I hope it wears off soon.
