Another milestone in my online playing's journey. I just got IP banned for wearing my Sunset skin at Skillz' monster hunt server by one of his admins. Too frikken funny. Skillz was there earlier tonight, and a whole bunch of us were wearing our bn skinchanger skins. He certainly had no probs with that. :o

Little does this admin-guy know but I've been talking to Skillz via email. (I gave him the URL to the large map pack from the Japanese website yesterday.) So I suppose the ban is temporary, as I've requested reinstatement. :mrgreen:

He kicked me right after you. I sent Skillz an email too complaining that I was wearing a default skin and still got banned. I gave him a big spill about proper identification of cheats and blasted the little guys who banned us. By the way, we aren't banned. He just kicked us or me at least. I went back in and asked the guy if he could name one cheat that worked on Monster Hunt. He couldn't. I asked what would be the advantage too? He didn't know since he couldn't name one that worked. I have a feeling that we'll be playing again tomorrow as you pointed out. Hehehehe. Damn that MH is fun. Thanks for pointing it out. Wish there were more maps though. I don't like the ones with respawning monsters in the millions though. The simple mission oriented ones are best.

I talked with the other guys about the same thing. His name is Galvatron, and his friend is DestroyAll. Galv does have admin rights, so that he can look after the server while I am not there. I will have a talk with him about the situation.

Hey Fishgod, go to this link and download and install this Monster Hunt Mod:

Now start UT and go to find internet games. Click on the MonsterHunt tab. Note there is also going to be a Monstaer arena tab. Ignore it. Once you see the Monster Hunt servers listed, the one we've been playing on has the name "Skillz" in it somewhere if I recall. We all seem to be there around 10:30 PM Central time. Hope to see you soon. Don't judge it on your first few maps either. There are around 70 maps and they are all pretty different. This Mod really requires that the maker knows what he/she is doing thus several of them suck while others are toatlly awesome! Let me know if there is anything else you need.

The patch? What patch? What does it fix?

its an update for the original monster hunt you unzip it and copy to your UnrealTournament/system folder it overwrites the other file if you dont update on some servers you get a version missmatch

i downloaded both items from the ones site, but my dell told me that the smaller one (i believe the patch) was not recognized or that it did not know what program made it so it couldn't open it.
do i need the patch?
i will try to play with out it.

hi fish you dont open the second file you copy it to your unreal tournament system file

is it as easy as it sounds?
just copy to such ans such unreal folder?

i think ive got it all screwd up now.
i tried copying it to harddrive on the unreal file and now when i try to play and dbl click on my shortcut to cd (which usally just jumps into game) it asks me if i want to copy items to disk.
i am assuming its talking about the new monster hunt items. but can i copy those to a original unreal disk?
i am lost.

all i did fish was opened my unreal folder and drag and drop the file in to it ,it says do you want to overwrite the existing file you click yes and that should be it

edit :- are you running it from cd?
if you are d/load the 436 patch and that comes with a no cd fix
i think herm has it on his site
the first monsterhunt file is a self installing file the second is the one you just drop in your unreal system file
the 436 patch below is a self installer also
