Hi,

I've been trying to get back on RI without much success, because UT (Linux) crashes on startup every time! It then prints out this error message:

Quote:
Initializing OpenGLDrv...
binding /usr/lib/libGL.so.1
appError called:
Could not load OpenGL library

which is a lie as I know that that lib exists!

I'm running Debian Sid with the NVIDIA custom drivers. Anyone with Linux savvy know what's going on?

I wish I could help but I don't know anything about Linux. Maybe Schwantz will chime in here soon. Reinstalls are usually a great way to get it right again. Good luck!

Have you tried anything from here:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=& ... gle+Search

The best thing I found in this list was to add /usr/X11R6/lib to your /etc/ld.so.conf and do a 'ldconfig' after installing the nVidia drivers (all as root of course). Make sure you also have removed the references to DRI and other things in XF86config as per nVidia's instructions.
