| Post subject: | To Crane or not to Crane... |
I know, I know... This has been debated almost as much as Macs vs. PC, but is Crane really needed anymore. There is only one person that I know who really likes the map (You know who I'm talking about). I realize that it was a good map in it's day for the noobs, but with the variety of maps available on the servers now, is it REALLY needed? How do the masses feel? |

I say keep it. It is a minor pain in the but for the majority of regs who hate it, but it is fun sometimes with certain players. I like playing it with trecker, telepimpn on the roof. The map also draws in newbs a lot when it is running. I actually have my server defaulted to crane. |

Hahahaha......the never ending question. I voted keep it. I voted like that because yes the newbies love it and everyone knows how much I love the newbies. Reason number two is because there is map vote. There are usually more regulars on the servers than newbies. If you would just take a second to vote for something besides Crane, then maybe that 1 vote for crane wouldn't win. Keep this in mind too. I used to think if only two people voted and they voted for different maps that the one with the highest score would win. That was wrong thinking on my part. It depends on who votes first. So, not only should you vote for a different map if you really hate Crane so much but you should vote for a different map as fast as you can! |

The poll should be whether to ban Dondon, lol. I swear Dondon always gets a quick vote in for Crane while we are gabbing and dancing. Next thing you know -- wham! -- Crane! |

You take that back Mah or so help me I'll change the password to the WebAdmin Console and start banning all players who's names start with Mahatm. LOL! I can't be DonDon. Just like a Vulcan, I can't lie so I couldn't play under a different player name than Hermskii or AdminTestPlayer. That's sorta why I hate it when other people change names or play with different Alias'. Was that a redundant statement? Different Alias'? |

Looks like the votes are too close to call at this point. Actually, I enjoy going Dondon hunting with Torpid. It is fun to just hang out on the streets looking for him and others that have learned the Dondon trick. To be honest, I like Dondon, but nothing gives me more pleasure than to keep him from winning Crane... Is this wrong? |

No it's not wrong to enjoy fragging a particular player. lol I think of it as a kind of therapy... :lol: I don't mind Dondon or any other player choosing whichever map they want, but Dondon chooses Crane everytime!!! And not just once! OVer and over and over! Frag Dondon NOW! |

Crane was fine with traditional weapons that kept you on the building. If players want to translocate to the streets and attempt low percentage salvos from below, then go for it. I vote to keep it... AND make an additional mod. On another server, the admin had the low grav set. I was able to transloacte on top of the nearest building and snipe away. Why not do this on CG? We'd be dodging redeemers from below AND above. It might be an interesting challenge. |

um, no. unless you've changed something in the last day or two, I'd say in case of a tie, who votes first does not necessarily win the map vote. I've tried a few times voting in the last 10 seconds for a map different from the one already voted for by one other player and my vote wins the map vote some of the time.
