hi all im at work at the moment so i can do this post,
last night i got hit by 6 virus :evil: how i got them i dont know, why norton didnt get them i dont know what i do know is that my computer is F***** it wiped everything :x .i couldnt even reboot
latley ive feeled a little picked on by it, everytime i have booted up somthing has been wrong with it, so tonight when i get home i have to reinstal xp but i have to try and find all my settings my unreal folder is still there cos it was on an external drive (its a laptop)
will that affect ut? is there a link to C:? i dont know at the moment i dont really care im a bit pissed off but hopfully i shall see you all in a few days unless i get a lot of good luck.

Did these viruses come via email?

That really sucks One. Do you keep your virus updates updated? Remember, your Norton AV is only as good as the latest list of viruses ...

Also, are you behind a router?

i dont know where they come from m8 norton was fully updated via live update i dont have a router its just a home laptop i didnt have time to look where they come from it just all shut down it wouldnt even start in safe mode it said OS was knackered so i got the recovery disc out and began reinstalling i got basic xp on now i have to get all the other stuff working.

The main thing that has pissed me off is it took all my files for my site so if i want to change anything i have to start from scratch :evil:

one i had a virus back in oct my norton never picked up on it either
dark gave me a link i will leave for you he told me to run this it found the virus and got rid of it for me if you need help with it buzz me and i will help you
