yeah there is a few ppl here that do, I started playing on super fast BB and then when I moved I played on 56k and still rocked, lol. yeah there is a bit of lag but its like the loop of poop, you get used to it in a while.

OH YEAH!! 8) Another 56K warrior in the making! I can tell you that there are some great players on 56K. You may have met Deadman Walking, Clementine, Trigon, and KB (Kind Bud). I have not seen KB in a while, but he could kick some serious a$$ in the arena. Sorry if I left anyone out. Hell, I have even won a few games with my crappy 56K connection from time to time. The worst thing about 56K is the lag. You get used to it.
This is the reason that I like the redeemer arena better than other forms of UT. The lag does not matter as much because pinpoint accuracy is not nesessary.

Post subject:  Map Packs

You better get the map packs now as fast as you can before 56K happens. Sad to say but I'll be adding about 40 maps on CG and pulling 40 off but not before you go to 56K. Get them now anyway so you'll have at least most of them for CG already.

yes, I'm on 56k dial-up and I know several other players here are on dial-up too. I don't consider 56k to be much of a handicap, especially in redeemer arena. it may seem like a disadvantage to someone new to this mutator, but once you're used to it, then winning a few games each night won't be much of a problem.

one thing to note is that although my name here says 'clemmentine' and Jargonaut calls me 'Clementine', I change my UT player name quite often. if you've only come on the last few months, then you probably have never seen the 'clemmentine' name on the servers. for now, the name I'm using is Tempest_Cloud_Arashi (this is really a hold-over from Halloween), and I feel another name change may be coming within days. to see what names I've used recently, just look at the line where I sign my name in my posts. even with all those names, you can always call me clemmentine, as that's the name I'll go back to when I'm tired of all this name changing.

- clemmentine ( Tempest_Cloud_Arashi / Crimson_Regret / Maiden_Arashi / ARWEN_EVENSTAR / [MoR]Eowyn / Trinity. )

Thanks for all the replies! 8) My wife pointed out that since we are dropping the broadband because of the baby's birth, I probably will not have very much free time to play (what with the screaming infant and all).
