Post subject: | Hi folks! |
There is no doubt that torp has been in absentia from this here forum for some time. My excuse is that I've started down a new carrier path and have not had much time for recreation. Please accept my apologies for not being more active and know that I still have a passion for the almighty redeemer. Glad to see the beast is still amongst us. graphictorp -----> marinetorp |

Glad to hear you will be frequenting the halls of Chernobyl once again. What does new carrier path mean? You quit your job as a graphic artist and have become a marine? |

Glad to have you back sir. I too have changed careers. I just left my job of 5yrs as an application analyst with a hospital system here in Houston and am now just sitting around waiting to get motivated to go and get another job. I have a offer right now but I'm not taking it yet because I need the rest. Now you see how I've had enough time to upgrade CG lately. I'm hopeful not to find work or get motivated enough to find work until late December. I don't know if the wife will go for that or not but we'll see! |

Damn spell checker gits me every time!!!! As you might guess, an English Teacher is NOT my new career position. Graphic Design has been my breadwinner for the last 20 years but with the declining economy and the loss of several of my life supporting clients, my business has suffered a near deathblow. Besides, my heart just has not been in it for the last few years. My new gig is associated to the Marine Industry (No Mah, I have not joined the Marines... I'm too fucking old for that shit). More specifically, I'm working in, on, around and driving Luxury Yachts. The deal is still new and I really don't know what the outcome will be, but as with anything new, the challenge is half the fun. captaintorp |
