I'm sure DS is just fine. Like many of us he is probably in hiding.

he logged in to this forum a few days ago, I think.

also saw him (as deadsun) on his own server a few nights ago, though I went to the redeemer arena servers instead.

played against two players (different names; don't remember what they were, they don't sound like the kind that Skank sometimes uses) on two separate occasions on the redeemer servers recently (also a few nights ago) who sounded like deadsun but didn't say he is deadsun or not. I was [MoR]Eowyn in both cases, and after telling one of them that I was also Maiden_Arashi and Trinity, he replied "crystal light magic" (crystal sphere magic, another name I used before). one or both could be him, but I'm not sure. maybe deadsun himself will post here and solve this mystery.

what? you didn't know?

I thought you'd see the common theme behind Arashi, Trinity, and Eowyn. :D

that's part of my little experiment to see how people read these forum posts. from what I can tell, most (not all) people don't read posts in their entirety. I always sign all my posts with the names that I've used recently. if I'm using a new name on the servers, it'll show up in my posts soon after. since I've been known to hit the 'got it' ('G') key every time I die, I had to unbound that key in order for my experiment to work. I still hit the 'G' key on all my deaths, it's just doing nothing since it isn't bound to anything. :D

Well, now I feel stupid for not reading every part of every post but I imagine with my long winded post some don't read mine at all. I disabled the "Got it" from it's keybind and over a month later, I still find myself trying to hit the "Got it". You may have noticed I generally just "HA Ha Ha" now which I always do when something is funny to me in the game.

I can't say I read every part of every post either, but it is those out-of-the-way places (especially in long posts) where you sometimes find little clues the author intentionally or unintentionally left behind.

yep, I run into a similar problem here too--can't use 'got it' and had to use something else. but since I'm using a female character now, I don't have my usual 'Ha ha ha' and 'Oh yeah' either, so I had to make do with 'I'm sorry, did I blow your head apart?' and 'You like that?'.

Greetings all,
First, allow me to convey my apologies for my absence recently…things have been rather busy around here. Fall Semester is in session, and what time I had is occupied with projects and writing reports. Here is the schedule for this semester:
Math
Systems Analysis and Design
Operating Systems and Administration
Technical Communications
The Operating Systems and Administration class is probably the most taxing class of the 4 courses; here’s some sample reading to whet your appetite:
http://portfolio.iu.edu/ndelury/lessonA.mht
http://rmedia.engr.iupui.edu/CPT286/Mod5/lesson.html

Also, in the beginning of August my wife lost her job, which in turn forced me to work all the overtime that I could get at work; good news is that she is now employed with Anthem Insurance. I have also been accepted to a new position inside my place of work; I accepted a position in the Information Technology department, providing tech support for the warehouse and production systems (amongst other things). While to some this may not seem to be a big deal, it is very much a big deal to me. Since I began working here over 3 years ago as a warehouse rat, I’ve been the departmental “computer guy”; you know, the guy they call when they want something fixed but don’t want to call the support desk, or if they want something installed that is not necessarily thought of as “Authorized Software” by the IT department. I have been looking forward to this day for a long time. In addition to acquiring experience relevant to my field of study, it also comes with 25% raise and some other very attractive career options further down the road. As for my absence in the arena, I took a break from UT to play through Deus Ex and Battlefield 1942; with my schedule the way it is, it took a long time for Deus Ex and I’m still working on BF1942(That game rocks!). Anyhow, I am back to some degree since the semester is now underway, look for me sometime online. Hottie, I didn’t forget about what we have talked about, I just haven’t gotten the opportunity to get back with you and fix the problem. I will email you sometime next week to setup a time.
