Nameless is right. It now sounds like a bus is malfunctioning. If the mouse and the sound card are on the same bus, then we may have bigger issues than a bad sound card. Okay. Try this one. This will only work if you have a PS2 mouse and a USB mouse. Take the current mouse out of the computer. Plug in the opposite kind and see if it will work. If so, then we will move you up to tier 2 support. I will be watching this thread. |

No warranty is left .I try to talk to them once before about some they going charge me like $ 20 dollars just talk on phone and if it need to be work more money.I like gateway machine they are so easy to get in. Sound card wasn't scwerd in it was by other plate that had scwerd had sound card and graphic card. If I can found that ONE CD that missing that will help me It has driver for Tri 4200 card and m ay be for mouse. Push to shove just I may build mine own. I have my two hard drives My old computer is build one I have every one cd, I got one every from mother to Graphic.I still used my old compter no ut 2k4 play . My mouse is a USB mouse.Other thing don't Geforce TRI 4200 was have fan on that card? I can do this I have other USB mouse also same brand different style mouse.MouseWare 9.28 for window Me,200 ,98, 95 ,NT,4.0 and 3.1. I try find update verison there site I can dowload for. Mouse is PS2 mouse or a USB mouse on my compter my old mouse had me run into wall .This before I play with guy and gals . |

Are you kidding? That is just B.S. Sci, I am having a difficult time understanding your post. I do not think it is a driver issue. I think it is a bus issue. This may be hardware related, specifically the motherboard. |

I had to look up On gateway web site Intel (Essex) Pentium 4 - 2.4 GHz (533MHz) R0 [Part #2519084] I don't think this is good motherboard. I can't write so sorry. Every time Look New computer it getting wrost Now it can't find driver BUS |

I goof it is Mircoft sytem Mangent BIOS Driver. Window cant load the device driver this hardware driver maybe missing or Corruted. I got this too I think where I removed my Sound card Intel USB Enhaced host control !.I Guess where I plug it. |

Okay, I have gone online and found the solution for this problem, but I am still not certain about the original problem of the sound card. First of all, can you get any mouse to work in your computer? |

I think that Windows has a default mouse driver, so do not worry about that. Let me know when you get your mouse working again. |

Jarg , I don't think you have do any more work. You and skank thank you so much Sorry you had to work so hard. I OWE you Big time I got mouse back but I won't Play Ut on this mouse i be stuck against wall or can't move .I use my useless PS2 mouse. Mouse that came with computer is logitech Optical mouse UBS which need drivers.If Find that red disk I can reinstall drivers.

Not just yet, Scify. The problem you are having may be a Windows issue. Do this for me. 1. Right click on My Computer. 2. Select Properties. 3. Go to the Hardware Tab. 4. Choose Device Manager. 4. Now look through the list. Are there any yellow question marks? If so, then right click on the problem, and choose Reinstall Drivers. Let me know if this works. If not, then we can go from there. Scify, your sleep schedule is odd. You are posting at all hours of the night. I can't keep up with ya :) |
