BTW,
I prefer the Aquamark test to all of the others. The visuals in it are awesome.

It will run through about 15-17 test. You don't have to do anything during this time but wait. You are waiting for a window that will pop up and score your PC's MultiMedia ability. Be sure to tell us what your score was. I usually get about 9,800. The score can vary about 200 points each time you run it.

Let us know what you think. Later!

You and I got same card.Mine is almost 1,000 less 8985

Ok I went and got both of these benchmark programs. I had a heck of a time finding the patch for 3DMark, probably because the program is already updated to v.330

I ran the demo, and then the benchmark. My 3DMark score is: 13587. Is that good?

I rebooted and ran the Aquamark demo, and then their standard benchmark program.

Results:

GFX: 4,815

CPU: 6, 400

Score(?) of : 34,993

Triangles per sec: 10,534,315

34.99 fps

Is that good?

As suspected, my computer at home requires "some" upgrades. It barley runs UT 99.....and the results below show how my computer will handle Doom 3...........   The graph showed that my home pc is at the last red bar , and "Minimum" requirements is 8 bars beyond! ouch.

System Scan Results
Sorry, but your computer is not sufficient to play DOOM3â„¢.

Recommended PC
Minimum PC
Your PC Your PC has:
Processor: Intel Pentium II 351MHz (Upgrade to the ultimate gaming system – Windows Media Center Edition)
Graphics Card: 3dfx Voodoo3 2000/3000 (This developer recommends the following display card(s): NVIDIA GeForce 6800, ATI RADEON X800)
Memory: 256MB
Free Disk Space: 2.38GB
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP

I am willing to sell this unit for a very reasonable price.
With great thought, I've decided to sell at $200 Canadian.
That equates to aproximatley $10 American, and about 2 pound for you people over the pond.
unfortunatley, I will have to ask the purchaser to pay for shipping and handling due to the fact that it will probably cost more than the PC itself.....Price of shipping will vary pending where the purchaser resides of course. Note, roller ball in the mouse has been cleaned and is free of lint!
SERIOUS INQUIRES ONLY PLEASE!!
E-mail inquires too: ........................................................

13,500 is awesome in my opinion as the highest I think I've ever ever ever gotten was 11,000. You must have a newer PC with lots of fast ram and a sweet video card. Nice scores there Nameless.

Damn Lotus you kick serious butt with a PII?!? You're running what I did two years ago. PII 300, Voodoo 3 3000, and mobo maxed out at 384 mb ram in an effort to speed things up a bit. (It sort of worked, but not as much as I'd hoped.) DON'T sell your old rig. What else are you going to relive the old days and play Duke and Quake 1 on? 8)

Besides the idea of you with a fast modern computer and broadband is very scarey indeed. (One upgraded K*B is enough! ;) )

Yeah Herm I bought this Dell 8200 in Oct. 2002. 1 gig of PC 800 ram, ATI Radeon 9700 Pro, 2.5 gig P4. Remember how I was complaining about how I bankrupted myself buying this thing? :?

Yeah good idea Nameless, I think I will keep that beast for older games ....Red Alert, Quake, Starcraft, etc, etc. :D
I've been pondering the idea of purchasing a new unit , however, I just cant seem to justify spending $1000 + dollars on a new "gaming unit".  That ole unit seems to do the trick around our household and anything more powerful would only be to support my gaming habit.
