I put on two new maps over the weekend:

One is called MH-Family Bonds which was a first map making attempt by one of the regulars on MHM named LeaderX. It is a great effort and based from this I look forward to his next maps.

The other is called MH-Adromeda-Anctient. It too is a first map attempt by a player named NR2000. All I can say is OMG!!! His map took him a year and he really did an awesome job. I still havent managed to play the whole thing do to the baby needing my attention but from what I have seen so far, I think it may be the best map of it's kind for MH.

That last map was so big I also increased max game time to 2 hours.

I also installed a new mutator called AntiBoost. Many of the MH maps have jump challenge type areas where jumping is key to success and life or death. Often as you have heard, we have had jerk-off players that enjoy shooting you off of the obstacles and you fall to your death just to have to start all over. This mod prevents that. You can be shot by another players weapon and take 0 damage and not be moved a single inch. You can still boost yourself as before. Over-all this is good but sometimes it was nice to get a boost from another player to reach hard to get to spots. All MH maps are made with the intention off being able to be completed by a single player so I think the good outweighs the bad and I plan on keeping it on the server.

Tuesday afternoon Time Warner is "supposed" to show up and change out my modem, dig up the old cable, replace it with a new one and give me one more dedicated cable to the servers. I hope it will resolve all of these nasty connectivity issues I've been suffering from for the past couple of weeks. That is all and I hope you all had as great a weekend as I have had! Later.

The "AntiBoost" MOD sounds like the ticket for stopping the TKers. Should make thing much more enjoyable :D

Yes, it is pretty sweet. I have heard of another form of it that lets you the player turn on and off whether you get bossted by others or not. It is a better option and when Iget it, Iwill switch to it and post instructions for it too I guess. So far, I like this one plenty. It is just what the doctor ordered!

Seems to work like a charm Herm :D
I was playing for a while, had two people try TKing. When they saw that nothing was happening, they just started playing like nice folks

Yep! Seems to work VERY well

Dang I must remember to call up MH-Skywars or whatever it's called and see if I can still rocket boost myself up to the creepinator or not!

I have one suggestion Herm. There's a new map on many of the MH servers called MH-Bluff. It's the single player map Bluff Eversmoking from the original game of Unreal. It's a nice adaptation, and for those who simply must kill all the monsters in a map before finishing, quite a fun challenge.

Consider it done but don't expect to see it for another few days. Thanks for scouting out the maps for me. Now that I have this mod, should I put hebreke and GodZ map back on?

I find those maps can sometimes be a little too tricky at certain points, so if you want them removed from the mapvote list, go right ahead.

Hey thanks for putting MH-Bluff onto the server Herm. It works like a charm. In fact, yours is the only server I've seen that doesn't suffer a massive framerate loss outside the castle gate when you activate the multiple health kegs powerup available there. 8)

I'm hoping that you can get the new player optional on/off anti-boost mod going soon. The one you are using now won't even let a player boost himself 3 feet into the air, and there are many players, myself included, who like to be able to rocket jump up to otherwise unreachable places. ;)

As for the Heberke & Godz maps, I find them painfully boring. But let them have their bread & circuses, if they must.

I'm having trouble with the new mod. I tis already installed and running. Maybe you will have better luck than I with it. Here is what you do to make yourself be boosted:

Hit the tab key during the game and type in:

mutate ab_off

To turn it back on so you can't be boosted type in:

mutate ab_on

Each time you type in either of these codes, you should see a message in all white that says something along the lines of:

"You have allowed others to boost you"

or

"You have disabled others from boosting you"

depending on whether you turned it on or off. I can't tell a difference either way and am in communication with the mod maker himself now as we try to determine why it doesn't work for me.

I intend to leave the jump type maps off of the cycle as they have been gone for over a month now. I'm hoping to corner the market of Hunters that don't like jump maps. I even took off the new and greatest map ever "MH-Adomeda-Ancient because I became so enraged at not being able to get past the mandatory jump sections and going from having a leading score to a negative one. NR2000 is considering making it a much easier jump excersise. If he does, I will put that map back on. Later all!

Hi, I'm new to this forum, but not to Monsterhunt, been here for more than 2 years now. My First map with triggers, movers that's proper, haven't mapped for a year so it's like i'm new somewhat.
Anyways i'll give you a overview of the map Hermskii and you tell me if you want it or not, only reason im not considering sending it to you is because of the LowGrav Zone, but you can be the judge of that, if you get the map.

Overview:

7 Zones:

-Ground Zone
-Water Zone
-Low Grav Zone
-Mirror Zone
-Dark Zone
-Ice Zone
-Lava Zone

4 Bunny Track Weapons Section (if not gotten by players, theres still stinger and automag available)

4 Bosses

1 Final Big Boss.

That's all it might be a bit long but not longer then Andromeda, which is a faboulos map so tell me if you want it or not.

Tleilaxu, welcome to the greatest forum ever. YES! Imean YES, send me that map. I'm all about new maps. If you hang here long enough you'll get very attached so be warned. The people here are straight shooting good folks. I'll be watching to get that map from you and if I get it quick enough, will get it on the server this weeknd sometime. I still have about 3 or 4 other new maps to put on as well. Seems people like to beta test on my server. FINE BY ME! Later.
