Haven't had time to see it yet, but already know all of the spoilers. BTW: it comes out on video in January.

I am a huge Matrix fan ... but this last movie sucked beans. It seems the brothers ran out of ideas before their sequence of movies ran out. Cornell West, the famous American academic philosopher who had a role in #2, was terrible in this movie. They gave him too many lines, and it was obvious he wasn't an actor. The sad thing is -- the other actors seemed as flat as he was.

The second movie worked because the philosophy was rich. Here, there was nothing. The action had little justification, and there were a lot of philosophical vacuums.

It's a shame, because this trilogy could've been the best sci-fi/philosophy sequence ever made. Better even than Star Wars (esp considering how Lucas sold out and made the later films into children's movies in order to market action figures and merchandise). I disagreed with the critics on #2, but on #3 I have to agree with the harsh reviews.

Still, #1 and #2 rank up there with Blade Runner for me. With Fight Club too.

Speaking of Star Wars, you might find this of interest. Proposed changes to the original trilogy for it's DVD release in September of 2004. Mind you, it's still a rumor.

Just how many special editions is Lucas going to make of the Trilogy???

Leave them alone. Let Han shoot first...
